The flood that hit that small town is sad. I pray for the people there. my daughter works there, but I'm so happy she is in training right now, and does not have to travel there.

I grew up in Milford and born in Watseka. Worried about all of my family in both towns. I am praying that it does not flood again. Saying a long prayer in Tampa,Fl. Hang in there Iroquois County!

the federal government needs to reconsider its stance on disaster aid. isn't much of watseka flooded because of what's happening along Sugar Creek and the Iroquois River in Indiana? There, across state lines, federal aid is needed for disaster shared between states (not with-in one state which would preclude federal aid).

It is a disaster I dont care what the president says. I dont see watseka as a town of oppertunity if they dont figure out what they can do. It was almost the whole town and alot of buisnesses went with it. I packed and moved to indiana which was for the best. Probly 3 days after the 2 flood. I feel for those who went in a redid there homes the first time. Has anyone noticed on 4th st between elm there is a guy who has signs posted all over house for sale and you can see the water lineon his house. he probly paid a fortune for the home and now has too sell it for alot less. or as is. thats sad.
