Steve Dougherty has a vested interest in this town and business know how to get results. Leonard is a decent men with good intentions, but Steve is the best suited for mayor.

I disagree with your take on the matter, I personally think Dougherty's only vested interest is lining his own pockets!
He does know how to get results however, look at all he has received from the city to date!!

Garmin, he may have got money from the City, but it's all out in the open. And waht he gets he is doing "reinvestments" back in the City? I have not made up my mind between the two Jonny or Steve. Is there something we need to know about?
Just asking?

not trying to start a witch hunt, but, just how much money has some of the people in question received from the CITY of Litchfield and why didn't it get reported when it was one of the Questions ask.Does
T I F ring a bell ??? another question may be ,IS
getting money FROM the City, as much an investmet in the City as getting money FOR the City. I do beleive
it make a big difference and is worth looking into.

I agree, with that FB and on my part no unt is started. I belive people should ask questions and be told the truth. If this needs to be asked thn so be it. Now for a sh*t stiring statement, "We could all go to the 3rd Ward meeings and ask tose kind of questions, but wait we have no current 3rd ward meetings. All we get is a head shaking pupet who will not take phone calls". Had to that off my chest. Bob did the 3rd ward a go job before and I belive he will again.

I think the city of litchfield would benefit from the great knowledge and corrupt behavior of Carl Dud' Dudley. Or Mark Dyer. The city needs to elect one of these outstanding people as its mayor. What finer example of honesty and integrity is there? You could hold town meetings out at the chicken ranch. My vote is Dudley for mayor. Dyer for city commissioner!

I have never posted on here before but I think we need to set the record straight, on the upcoming election for Mayor of Litchfield. Yes Steve has a vested interest in Litchfield; he is redoing building in the Tift district for profit! Is there anything wrong with that no, the truth is that we spoke with Steve seven months ago and ask if he would run and he told us NO! That is when I said I would run and he said I will back you and told that to other people, and now he wants you to believe that he is running for the betterment of Litchfield! Facts-Steve has received over $21,000.00 thousand dollars from the Tift that is Tax money for the building of his wealth, Fact I have brought in $280,000.00 dollars for the Tax payers of Litchfield for the betterment of the community. I have served on the park board for 10 years for no pay and have learned to network with IDR and IEPA and with the governorsí office and to write grants for this community. Walton Park is being used more now that it has been used in very long time, did I do this by myself NO, it was a team effort and that is what is going to turn around our community!! Anything that I have stated here can be checked with a simple freedom of information act request, these are the facts so when you Vote please look at the facts not because he is a nice guy.
Respectfully Johny C Leonard

one day the city of LITCHFIELD will be theproud owner of 100 plus acres on the WEST SIDE OF I55 ,at 27,000 dollars give or take a few bucks per acre ,ONE would think that the two normaly sane aldermen that vote for this move would now pull their heads out of their ass and tell us WHY. IF and that is a large IF someone
had a large number of commersial businesses with a written committment to build on this property, have they not given any names for leverage to make this purchase. My guess is you will hear IT's A SECRET these big business men don't want anyone to know where their building, DUH we heard this cam on the sale and the bogus reason we can't fill our industrial parks. RT 16 SEWERS, just to name one of many progects this city has FAILED TO FINISH as promiced. is 7 yrs ago, if thers money to buy new property, whers the money that was alloted for this .
Commersialproperty sits vacant on CORVET DRIVE and brings to mine the saying WE MAY HAVE BEEN BORN AT NIGHT< BUT NOT LAST NIGHT.?????????

well rumor has it,he will replace oour tourism director with someone involved deeply in the
chamber of commerse, the economic develeper will be city administrator OR that won,t change and HE will
become mayor/administrator sence he has found a trusted employee to run his business and that gives him time to devote to addressing all the city problems himself.
