A quote from the article: "A public open space is not the best place for a utility line," said Monica Meyers, executive director of the Kane County Forest Preserve District. "It should be as far away from the nature preserve as possible." Should include: AS FAR AWAY FROM HUMANS AND THEIR HOMES AS POSSIBLE! Wait until we all have cancer and I sue......

I checked out aerial photos of your dumpy little cookie-cutter subdivision online and trust me, a few power lines aren't gonna bring Wing Pointe down that much. They gotta put em somewhere.

So what's the problem...the towers would be on an adjacent property, not through someone's back yard. If those residents are worried about property that's not theirs, then they should buy the land.

As far as the power lines being as far away from humans as possible, here's a come a lot of cities and villages have tried and succeeded on getting land from ComEd to build soccer fields, bike paths, etc. directly under the row?

The concerns about cancer...the food you eat, the air you breath, the emf from not only electricity, but from radio waves and television signals, the fumes from the paint, the pollution from everything you do causes cancer. To be concerned about this one source...further away from your body than other sources is ridiculous....let's worry about the magnetic waves caused by electricity, and not about the food we eat....good call.
