I was raised in church all of my young life. I know right from wrong, and the only thing that I can think of that keeps me from going to church is my mouth..........so why is it so hard to take that step? I have been in church before, and have felt the awesome power of God, so why am I so hessitent now?

you have to just keep trying. i like the bumper sticker i saw one time--"Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven." try to remember that and just keep praying and really trying to serve HIM and it will all work out.

People are not all the same, and everyone has their own personal walk with God (if they serve him). Some people draw closer to God at a slower pace...they spend quiet time alone with him and just talk to him.
You don't have to be loud and run the isles to be saved. We are all different and do things or own way.

Being raised in Church and even going back to Church aint What counts...Going to Jesus, And Coming to Him Will add all else in Your Life as You Take His Yoke upon You and Learn of Him, Try Going To Jesus.... If Gods dealing with Ya,Talk To Him where ever Your at and ask Him To Help Ya Out...and He Will,if your sincere about it...

Serving God is not hard at all. It is what you make of it. The hard thing is when you try and sever 2 masters then you create great conflict in your mind and body. Choose you this day whom you will serve. The term to sever God means to do something for someone else. He needs nothing so there is not one thing you can do for him. He picked up a little child in the Bible and said as much as you do to the least of these you have done it unto me. So to serve him and do his will is to take care of each other. Its an easy choice and an easy life when you realize you can not be perfect. Quit trying to be a christian and let Christ live thru you and it will make all the difference in the world. You will experience a happiness you have never known.

What would God do without you?? He's so fortunate you chose Him.

I'm even more fortunate as He chose me.

Now, that being said, how about we use this thread as a positive beginning. The flock must gather somewhere. God does not need us, but we most certainly do need Him.

Not Of This World Forever, That is so true it's frightening, people are coming down everywhere. Your's is a good post, BUT, I am seeing a lot of threads destroyed quickly, and think this one would be too. Go to Princeton, Wv. Topix and see, the prayerline thread. It was turned into personal attacks against the one that started it. Some were asking for prayer, some others probably gave up before asking.

TRYING, let them destroy it. Begin again, and again, and however many times it takes. Build, and they will come.

Matt. 26:61

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

Matt. 27:40

and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!"

Of what "temple" does He speak?? Does He speak of a building of stone and mortar?? No, the temple is Christ. They hung Jesus on the cross until dead, but in 3 days He returned and lived. The "temple of God" cannot be destroyed. Neither can the work that God commissions to His flock.

Remember that and remain in His Peace.

***The Key is, once saved, get into the word of God and learn all you can about Him.***Pray daily asking Him to help you live as close as you can.***None of us are perfect, we never will be, but can choose to have the desire in our hearts to seek Him for what He would have us to do.***We all have a work to do, some have different talents and gifts from God.***

What you just said again and again, is what a good christian woman from Florida told me, word for word, but , see your judgits all in just a few minutes, shows you what the resistance thinks. Bold, that just posted was that man that started the prayerline thread! He sounds like a good christian to me. And works hard to help!

I just just love a christian family that sings like that, And Pastor Hagee, when his family sang, just pleased me so much. But, I have to watch my emotions closely ,as I can get tears easily , and the blood pressure goes up. In the 50s in Gilbert, Wv. Baptist church they had singers from all around there, sing ole tyme religious hymns, that were so good, I know to this day I was blessed to hear them. And those songs are locked in my heart and Memories forever.

Yes, the judgits did come right away, and I know they didn't come from you. I do know where they came from though. I gave you positive judgits, and so did the poster that gave me all negatives. Interesting, that they would judge yours positive and my negative, when mine is primarily scripture and agreeing with yours. That is why we are not to judge. I believe in displaying the positives and uplifting our brothers in Christ, not attempting to drag them down.

Romans 14:13

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Amen.

Crying is a healthy release but not if if causes bp issues. The 50's huh?? You must be a little older than me, not that it matters at all. I just love Christian music. It's all I listen to. I even have it on my pc the entire time I'm online, which is wonderful. We don't have choirs in any of our churches around here anymore except for special occasions. We use to have good ones in all our churches. But, it seems people are too busy for the time and commitment one must devote practicing and performing.

NOTWF, I am amazed, from who knows where, another like you comes forth, There must be many more also. I have seen mostly women are the christians, on average. Guess they have the most tender hearts, than men, The woman goes to church, and many of their husbands stay away. Must be a man thing to not be humble and needing help. A man, thinks, that shows weakness, to pray and ask for help and forgiveness. Our lives are not as long as we think, time passes quickly, and before long we are 40 then 55 , oh well thats not so old, then, 65, then over 70, and times running out, with our strength. UTHO, Hey this life thing is starting to get serious, more trips to the hospital, doctor, and more medicine, this is getting very serious. These are just things I have SEEN and DONE>

Thank God for all prayer lines, and He is still standing behind the prayers lifted up to Him. Always in faith and believing He can heal when we trust and obey Him.***
