Letter from Rahall

"Thank you for contacting me with you comments about my endorsement of Senator Barack Obama to be the next President of the United States.
I greatly appreciate hearing the thoughts of all of my constituents on this issue. Your thoughts in particular have provided great food for thought. Thank you for being so open and honest with me.
You may be interested to know that as a Superdelegate, just like all other Members of Congress, my role in the presidential nominating process is to support the candidate who I believe is the strongest for our Party and for our Nation. This role is contrasted with that of pledged delegated who represent the direct vote of the people in the primary process. This is supported by long-time political scientist at West Virginia Wesleyan College, Robert Rupp. According to Dr. Rupp, "The job description of the superdelegate is you do what's best for the party and nation." For your reference, I have enclosed Dr. Rupp's comments in an article on this subject.

Looks like our elected officials think the people of WV aren't smart enough to decide what we think is best for our country and need someone to make our decisions for us. We elect people to be our voice but what we get is their voice. I for one will be making a decision what I think is best for our country in Nov. and it won't be Rahall or Obama.

Thank you Melinda for reposting the letter. I think all voters of WV needs to see what kind of representation we have in Washington.

I think when these representation run for election we need to vote them both out for there way we need representation there to vote the way the people who puts them in office to vote our way not the way they want they are representation us not their self so the we don't need them in office any more lets band together and put Nich J. i too got the same exact letter. i mean exact copy, only difference was it was addresses to me. this is sad. he sends the same exact letter to everyone. how lame
