I am looking for a complete list of names of the musicians who have joined this cause.

I WON'T be throwing anymore money their way in the form of CD purchases, concert tickets, or merchandise.

I WILL turn the dial anytime I hear their voices on the radio.

Thank you, COAL COUNTRY radio, 96.5, for refusing to play their music any further!

i havent got to listen to the radio that much here in the past few days but i did learn of the story on wymt's website. i think every radio station that is in or near and relies on the coal industry to do the same as 96.5.

evidentally they want what little jobs that people around here have to end hey people theres not that many jobs around here as it is I know that there are bad things that come along with it to say the least the house shaking I had it happen and it still does from time to time never fells at 4:00 p.m. but they do go over the land plant trees and so on all I see on other sites are people talking about people not working and for the people who try to work your wanting to take it away and make it stop I know thats not the only jobs around here but it's hard to feed a family on minimum wage let alone pay all your bills plus there are not that many jobs hiring if you have an option that pays just as good for these people working mtr then WE'RE ALL EARS!!!!!!!

Geez, get over it - MTR needs to end and I think anyone with any sense knows this. I think it is great that other people have finally began to notice what is really taking place in some of these areas. When our own neighbors, friends, family won't help to do anything to stop a destructive form of mining then what other options do you have but to take it worldwide. What MTR does affects all. Yes, we need the coal (for the time being) but we do not need to blow our mountains apart, bury our streams, destory a whole community to have it. I think 96.5 should be ashamed of themselves for taking the stance they have. I will never listen to that channel again. When the day comes when some of you wonder why you can't get a good drink of water, or go swimming at the lake, or wading in the creek, or when your home is flooded - then remember you stood up for the cause - Mountain Top Removal.

Well good for them, help keep stupid hillbilly's from destroying the mountains of East Kentucky. Coal corporations have stole and destroyed about everything down here and won't be satisfied until they even destroy the very mountains we live in. Sometimes you have to step in and keep uneducated people from harming themselves and the future generations in appalachia.

To bad you all are just a small part of the total cd and concert sales, just like your vote, you don't even count. Not enough of you to effect this. You can get on topix and cry and that might make you feel a little better. Have at it, MTR is over!

Guess those here against MTR do not drive on the new 119? Mountains had to be moved for that. But wait, that might just make YOUR life a bit easier, so it's okay.

Think of the families who are being fed, clothed and sheltered by wages earned from MTR. Surely those of you that cry about people on welfare do not want more people depending on the government to live. You know there aren't many options here. Do not take away what we have, unless you want the entire area engulfed in poverty. Think about it.

Maybe they want to start a tree hugging co. up so the people who don't have a job after they take away MTR can work there they just have to pay good. I like the mountains just as good as the next guy but unless you offer a solution to the families that depend on these jobs don't cry about it! All you hear are people talking about are those no good people that draw food stamps or that are on welfare well if you take away this what do you think will happen there will be another site started up crying about the number of people on welfare!!! Or maybe NO CONCERTS FOR ME will raise and take care of these unemployed workers famlies!

Uhhh... I think "Dumb" needs to look over what I posted. I am not supporting these musicians who want to put our miners out of work.

You know, everyone wants to support all these environmental causes, but no one has any ideas about what people are going to do for employment once all the jobs are gone.

Are these singers going to support a government initiative to bring some factories to this area?

We don't have employment options, so to the mine we go. Give us an alternative if you are so set against what we do.

Real intelligent, GD, inbred, uneducated moron just showed the limit of your vocabulary. Don't worry, this usless blog don't mean squat in keeping your precious MTR. It's over, you just to damn dumb to know when the tide has gone against this type of mining and you can get on here and try to use insulting language to make yourself feel better but this stuff is over. To get down on your level you can stick a mountain up your #* before it gets the top blown off and it would probably fit you reamed out skank or pervert!
