The writer of this story is a fool! The town of silver city is not trying to ban fireworks permanently they just want the ability to do so only in extreme drought conditions! So next time get the facts before you write a misleading story!! The town based on current state law cab can ban some fireworks in extreme fire conditions. You should have gotten a copy of the notice of intent to adopt the new ordinance then wrote this story. As for the vendors who pulled out this year TNT fireworks only did so after protesting they had no brains and set up despite the horrible fire conditions. There was only one vendor who had the common sence yo bypass selling fireworks on his own without protest etc. And that was All Glass Md's owner James Koons. Way yo go Mr. Koons!
