LISD is AU and missed AYP for several years now. What or who is the cause of this? Who is trying to better education for kids? Do you want a school system that is world class? If so, you will need to ask yourself--Why is LISD AU, missed AYP, visiting with TEA once a month and various other audits from the State. TG has only been in Luling for 10 months but the issues have been alive and well for a while now. Improvement takes time and the people must want to improve. Ask yourself one more time--Who or what have caused the problems? I only see TG trying to make Luling ISD a world class school district.

I agree. I believe the vast majority of the LISD staff and every board member wants to greatly improve the business of educating Luling's children. And many of the newly discovered negative issues are issues that started long before TG.

But it is unfortunate there are still folks around who want to complain about "something", or "someone", but don't have one shred of documentation to support their complaint. And as for the upcoming election, will voting against any incumbent board member serve any meaningful purpose? No! As I stated, it is hard to support a former teacher who failed to honor a contract. It is even harder to support a "get even" agenda.

And what do you consider yourself? A candidate that is doing all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons? Or are you just one of those pitiful people who hide behind a keyboard-complaining with a straw backbone?

All I know is that any trust I had regained with school system left. I'm pulling my kids at the end of the year. I've heard Glover talk, I don't trust him and that sums it up.

What would be the point in seeing the name What Now? Or is this some sort of a challenge from a position of unsubstantiated bull droppings and unsustainable support for a losing side?

Lets bring peace to LISD. Together we can achieve. If the community wants LISD to be successful it will! We can do this! We need to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Lets quit complaining about the board, supt., teachers. The kids need us!

Posting negative comments only slows progress and sows seeds of doubt. Don't you think enough turmoil has been espoused?

I pray that LISD finds its place among the elite! But it starts with teamwork!

We will see how much teamwork is shown now that scores are in. Hopefully Mr. Glover and the administration will support the teachers after forcing them to teach their way and not allowing them to add anything to the cscope lessons. At least Mr. Hartzler is aware of what was happening for the first semester. Time will tell.

Glover's nickname in Llano was "turnover Tim". There is a reason he didn't even get a sniff of a chance at Llano Super Job. He makes powerful friends. Brings them into his "inner cycle" and then commences to destroying people by establishing an atmosphere of distrust. Hope he is not doing the same thing in Luling that he did to us. Heck, Glover left me alone and I still got the Shivers every time I was around the guy.
That makes sense. I guess that is why we have and will have the highest rate in turnover that has occurred in a while.

No respect and no support. Teachers do as they are told or forced to do and when testing scores are not good it is the teachers fault. No one wants to work in that environment.

jmo. The Elementary, Middle and High school are all rated Academicaly Unacceptable. Fewer than 1/2
of the students are ready for college. As a taxpayer I believe something needs to change. Some of the teachers need to be sued for educational malpractice. I find it amazing that anyone would respect or support teachers with these scores. Public Education is a profession, not an employment
agency. Get the curriculum alligned from K thru 12,
and those administrators and teachers who cannot get the job done should not only be fired, but their teaching certificates removed.

Starting at the top I would guess. Not all of these campuses have been AU until recently. When it is dictated to how someone teaches it is just hard to understand how you can blame them completely for the failure. Some of these great teachers have had good scores until they were forced to teach in a way that they are not comfortable with. Maybe it could be a curriculum issue.

These campuses have been academically unacceptable for 3 years plus. Maybe it is a curriculum issue. The curriculum used for the past years has not produced the needed results. Maybe teachers were not supervised and were allowed to do as they pleased in the classroom. This approach obviously did not work. As a taxpayer I am more concerned
about quality education than I am about a teacher being comfortable. I have found that it is usually
the poor teacher who complains the most when told to change their behavior in the classroom.

All data is on the TEA website. Luling has never had scores over acceptable in its history. It is not one year, it's at least 5. Now lets come together and recognize the facts and support growth. It will take time. If your gunning for another super, that will make number 5. Come on now, lets change and do better. If you think one person is to blame, then Luling will never be successful. Time will tell and that time is at least 3-5 years.

I pray the God blesses our little school district and works through all trying to serve the greater good for kids.

Does anyone know why there are so many resignations and reassignments at LISD?

RBL- I'm certian Mr. Glover would visit with you about your concerns. He held 3 community meetings last week and this week. I also believe it is hard to get the answer (right answer) on topix.

I still believe that our community needs to come together and support our school. We have been watched by the State for a while now. What happens when they have to watch us all the time? I'm sure changes occur.

I've said it before, lets come together and work with everyone to get our school district on the right track. It could be the crown jewel on I 10! We have a lot to be thankful for and proud of! So, lets come together!

So Grace and Peace to you, friend! God bless our school!
