I used to live in Austin and I must say I HATED it there. Those UT kids are nothing but a bunch of spoiled brats and their parents are paying their college tutions. The companies out there are very unprofessional and if you look like you are in the military people out there will just shun you. I do find it funny that these freakin UT brats would not last 2 days in Basic training and they would be crying to mommy and daddy. I have also noticed that 6th street is infested with the little vermin, Austin is full of low functioning morons and I swear I would never ever go to UT, GO AGGIES! anyways anyone else had similar problems in that craphole of a city?

At LONG last, I have found an appraisal that I want to PUSH! I have lived in Austin 57 years, ever since Uncle Sam brought me home from the Korean Conflict. Almost EVERY thing that is written about Austin is favorable and the city keeps JUMPING in Growth. It was 119,000 when I arrived in 1952 and now it is over a million.

We NEED more comments like De Berry's. Maybe the city won't grown so cussed fast. I want to encourage ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY who does not like Austin TO MOVE!! And as FAST AS POSSIBLE.

I know one thing. I have put in two threads and asked questions about my ex-husband. He died in Austin Texas Jan.2nd,2002. The medical examiners office confirmed that he was there on that date, they had to do an autopsy on him. He is originally from Ky and we can't understand why he was in Texas unless he met someone and went there with them. His name was Walter Dwight Green but he went by Al Green. The social security office said his last known address was 7475 Chevy Chase Dr Bldging 25 apt 201. Then he was known to be at two other address 1705 Houston St and 501 E. 8th St. which i know that one is the Salvation Army but evidentally he must have used a different name because i called them and they said he wasnt listed. The unclaimed property told our daughter the other day that he had property on him which was a watch and a white metal necklace. They told her that it was auctioned off a couple years after he died. I sit and watch her cry because of them selling her daddys stuff. You know if may not have been worth much but it would have meant everything to her. She is 33 yrs old and hadn't seen him since she was about 7 or 8 yrs old. We just found out a few weeks ago that he was dead. She had looked for him for years. I never realized how hard it would be to find someone dead. If anyone knows of this man or what happened to him would you please contact us at kateinjanp2001@yahoo.com she is gonna send after the death certificate and the autopsy report when we get the money but right now it's kinda hard to come up with. We thought maybe he may have remarried and had kids. Angie would love that to know that she may have sisters or brothers out there somewhere that she could meet. She told me today that wished in a way that she had never found this out cause its so hard to get information about his death. Please help us if you can.

Gosh! I sure wish ALL the people who hate and talk against living in Austin would permit me to lead them to the various highways and pathways OUT OF THE CITY!

I came here in late 1952 and except for one lady giving me the boot, I have lived here for fifty-seven years, 54 of it with a wonderful woman.

PLEASE, do NOT SUFFER any more, get yourself a map and LEAVE!!!!!

I love driving north on 35 and just as you get close to the 183 flyover exit, and you see all the people flying around to try and cut in at the end to get on the flyover, I get such a kick out of blocking them out from cutting me off and watch at how pissed they get because theyre in too much of a hurry to be courteous drivers.

I like austin but would never want to live there.

MATACHUTE .whats the defeinition of rude ? or how rude does a person have to be for you to consider rude , I was at party last saturday and guy asked girl a ? and after a while she said he was rude when no one thought he was rude at all . So it just all depends how sensative you are to people , I see people do things that are in no way rude but some people think it is and that same person does something that she feels is not rude but someone might feel you are so it just all depends on the person , now about the driving ? talk about some idiots that drive on i-35 and will ride the left passing lane until right when they need to exil off and will hit brakes and just there trying to drive over 4 lanes cause the idiot doesnt realize his exit was coming up or vise versa will be on right line then decide he wants to get over 3 lanes to left to turn left , dont you realize that when you r driving down the highway oh hey my exit is coming up in couple of exits maybe i should start making my way to right line so i can exit , I meAn cmon wake the f k up you braindead idiots , and last how about the ones that almost cause wreck and if it werent for you who was paying attention you avoid what could of been a wreck so bad maybe even involve someone that could of died and cause you were paying attention you hit brakes or whatever then the idiot that almost caused accident flips you off? man I followed a guy to a gas station who ran red light and thnaks to me we didn t wreck but I did honk at him then flips me off and kept cutting in front of me and hitting the brakes , till I pulled into gas station where he stopped to get gas and 30 seconds later he was laying on concrete knocked out for being an idiot and boy did that make me feel better , so when you get these brave souls flipping you off for no reason or cause it was there fault ? follow them to wherever and slap the sh i t out of them , sick and tired of these az h ole s who getaway with this crap everyday , guy should be thanking you , you just saved his life or kept him from having a real bad day cause he is an idiot and instead you get the middle finger . srew that

The whole planet is rude. I spent 15 years working in a restaurant. And a girl in a restaurant probably 1/3 my age gave attitude for nothing. It all started when I was returning from the restroom and the co worker said " he is coming back." No history or problems or dialogue before. So what's the issue. Then she makes a smart comment on my way out and complained that some previous customer is going to make a complaint. What does this have to do with me. There are a few restaurants I never go back because I didn't feel welcome.

you sound like an azhole ignorant b-a-s-t-a-r-d , anyone who has bad experience with few people then calls the WHOLE ENTIRE group of people is actually the rude one . Ever heard of the saying "takes one to know one ? I have had bad experiences with people from india but wouldnt be fair to call them ALL az holes would it ? there are some yes ! as there is everywhere , and basic training ? served 2 tours indesert storm and 1 afgan and 1 iraq , it was cake work , but there were some weak lings who thought it was the hardest thing ever . guess it is hard for anyone not used to it but i thought it was a beeze and actually was fun for passed 25 years wasnt hard at all ...

go to san antonio at rush hour ! what it is is all these wetbaks pouring in and it is getting over populated then you got these azholes who sit in left passing lane all the way till they see the exit then slam on breaks and come to complete stop causing train effect back up for miles cause his stupid az doesnt know how to drive in city . I see this everyday then if you do get to the front of the line there will be some azh ole going 50 on 60 or 65 sitting in left lane so what you need to do is cut in front of him make him move the f-u c - k out of passing lane , its not that people are in hurry , alot of times we just wanna go speed limit at least

haha i hear you bill , I agree with you , these people move here and axpect people to kiss thier az cause they are from somewhere else or like they guy who started this topic i actually know who he is , and he came here and hung around down by the university and saw all the beatiful girls and they rejected him and thats why he hates austin now cause people are rude he sees then if you notice he doesnt stop takling about rude kids at u.t and down on the drag so he didnt mean to say rude people he meant to say rude women at u.t cause they wouldnt give him time of day then doesnt say he would rather live in s-h-i-t-h-o-l-e like san antoinio or houston or dallas he says " i would rather go to a&m ? what the heck was that ? you hate a town full of rude people ? so you rather go to a&m?
