Travis county jail is an unsafe place for minorities. The staff is very unprofessional, and should under go a series of mental test and evaluations for racism before being hired.Someone on the staff may have murdered this man.I personally have feared for my own life and safety every time I have been in the Travis county jail. These people are monsters and most of the time without reason.I am speaking from my own personal experience.

Are you serious?! Most inmates think they are entitled to everything. You were in Prison for a REASON! It's sad when people don't get what they want they scream racism. The officers do checks and you should know this seeing as you were an inmate and you were probably an out of control one that was put in lockdown multiple times. Why don't you pay attention to your surroundings and see what actually goes on with inmates and officers. All officers go through psych evals before they are hired. Your points are invalid. Also if it is "racist" as you so claim there wouldn't be any "minority" officers on duty. Get your facts before you spew shit out of your mouth! You probably won't even read this because you are probably back in prison! Every prison has suicides and everyone goes through an investigation. No matter what officers do.... Even taking away all clothes and putting inmates in padded cells doesn't prevent them. Again.... Get your facts straight and stop being racist!

why should it be so hard to admit that the majority of officers or jailers are racist have been and always will be if they could personally kill a black or Hispanic inmate they would and believe me they will get away with it,its happened in the past.

yes, people are in jail for a reason ,but just because they are in jail /prison does not warrant them being treated like animals. We all know that there is politics in the jails/prisons. I have been told that the white guys get treated better even in prisons. There is no need to get offended at people when they express their thoughts. The system is awful and I have always thought it takes "special people to wrk in the system and know about all of the abuse mentally and physically that goes on in the system and are able to turn the other cheek to keep their jobs..

just because one is in jail/prison does not mean that they are not human and do not need air/food water, and decent living conditions, not having this it becomes torture emotionally , mentally ,and physically ,if they have this it does not change them doing their time /sentence..They are still incarcerated.....thank you....
