In presenting this news story, one of the local TV Channels stated that this teacher and 1 aide were responsible for 28 four-year-olds in an un-fenced playground area. How absolutely ridiculous that those numbers were allowed by that Principal!
Now in response to this incident, all of sudden the resources are found for 2 classrooms, each with 1 Teacher and 1 Aide. State Law is not the issue; how many 4-year-olds would you watch in your own backyard??
But just you watch, AISD and that Principal will hang this Teacher out to dry. The Teacher has already been placed on Leave, according to the News, but has the Principal? or that grade level supervisor? Admittedly, a terrible mistake occurred, but the blame is to be shared by many individuals. Thank God that child is safe.
Please be fair to all individuals, and provide safe surroundings for all. After all we are only in the 1st week of the new school year !! Thank you, koj

Sad thing when those in charge are not.
