It is my opinion that whatever is being seen by broadcast owners is not what viewers are seeing or feeling. Ron has been a staple for Austin for years and people followed him when he changed stations. I would very much like to know what criteria is used to hire and fire television celebrities. His demeanor, his appearance and his energy was more than exceptable, as a matter of fact I have always felt that we would loose him to National broadcasting. Whatever the stations reasons for letting him go probably are not reflected by the public. I wish for Ron that his opportunities be bigger and better than decisions made by these station managers. I love change and accept it normally with grace and enthusiasm but the release of Ron has made me angry. As a watcher of news it is a disappointment that does not seem to be satisfied by watching any other station. However, my loyalties to KEYE will be abandoned because I don't want to see Judy M. leave when the station has a whim. The dissapearance of our weather man made me feel the same. I am not being critical of the replacements but none of them hold a light to Troy or Ron. This feels like the straw! If you think people were not watching before...good luck!
