David Barber brought the technology at the Register of Deeds office into the 21st century. He'll do the same thing at the Clerk's Office. Send Hunt packing, maybe he can get a job defending the illegals that I heard his Fairness Alamance loving future in-law has devoted herself to.

Hunt is one of the most genuine, caring people I know. He is passionate about kids, families, and our community! Just talk to him and you will know....he is someone who can be trusted and is approachable, so even if you do not agree with him, you can discuss the issues with him. Keep Hunt Clerk of Court!

I have had personel experience dealing with Hunt Johnson and he is not the Good honest man he leads people to belive. When he comes into that court room and has already decided the ruling before even hearing the case and claims he spent a tremendous amount of time reviewing it the night before when in fact he was at a ball game in Burlington and then was posting on FB late at night. So when was it spent on the case reviewing? OH yeah and for others in the future who might have to have a hearing in front of him, he thinks that depositions are a waste of time and paper as he stated at our hearing. Your best case of winning when in his courtroom is if your lawyer is his buddy or at least his FB friend. after our hearing we requested copies of the court tapes,we kept getting the run around until we contacted David Barber and then within an hour or two it went from I don't know when they will be ready to you can come pick them up. So in my opinion David Barber may not be the choice of Alamance county but he proved to me he can get the job done.

The clerk has no power at all over the technology in use. The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts takes care of all that and allows the Clerks no discretion. If you can find a single county in this state that has better "technology" than we do, let me know and I will stand humbled. So far, all the counties I've ever done work in--Orange, Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Guilford, Davidson, Forsyth, Rockingham, Richmond, Wake--all had the same system each time I was there. AOC controls this. The clerk does not. I would be interested in learning more about why this is an issue in the campaign, when neither candidate can have any influence whatsoever over what AOC does or does not do. If any clerk candidate wants to campaign on issues said candidate can't influence, let's pick something more important than technology in the clerk's office. I want to know which one of these candidates is going to get us out of Afghanistan, control federal spending and do something about Iran.
Let's leave things where they are. Lest you think I attack Mr. Barber like you've attacked Mr. Johnson, all indications are that the Register of Deeds Office is running well and that he's doing a great job. Allow him to continue serving the people in that capacity. Donkeys versus elephants has no relevance for local judges, clerks or registers of deeds. They have no legislative power or rulemaking ability. So don't spill your tea over this.
As for what Mr. Johnson's future in-laws love do not love, I can't speak to that because I don't know them. I suspect you don't, either.

You have had personal experience getting your behind handed to you in front of a judicial official by someone who was represented by an attorney licensed to practice in North Carolina. You showed up without a lawyer. You saved some money, and now you're paying in another way. You don't like this, and that's understandable. But your judgment is obviously flawed if you decided to show up unrepresented for a case before the Clerk, so I question the value of your opinion in the Clerk's race.

To The Real Deal Lets clear things up YES I had a NC LICENSED ATTORNEY present with me at the hearing!! But like I said MR. Johnson already had his decesion before he ever set foot in the courtroom!! Oh just for Your Knowledge our Lawyer is not a residence of Alamance county and it was very clear that Hunt Johnson was not comfortable with him at all. The only person in that courtroom that day he felt comfortable enough to even make direct eye contact was the other lawyer, wonder why? and trust me the value of my opinion probably out weighs yours by far for the simple fact that I know what my mothers Trust states and she did not intend for an ex sister in law of mine of over 10 years to get what she had worked so hard to earn. The deposition was from her aging lawyer who lives out of town stating these facts. So you see I came fully prepared only to be handed a bullshit verdict.

WHO WANTS SOMEONE IN THAT POSITION (BARBER) WHO SAYS HE WILL HAND OUT 41 PINK SLIPS IF ELECTED. IS BETTER TECHNOLOGY GONNA GO TO COURT, FILE PAPERS, ANSWER THE PHONES, AND DEAL WITH PEOPLE? IT TAKES ACTUAL HUMAN BEINGS TO RUN THE CLERKS OFFICE AND IT'S BEING RAN JUST FINE! HUNT IS A GREAT PERSON WHO TRULY CARES ABOUT HIS JOB, HIS EMPLOYEES, AND THE PEOPLE OF ALAMANCE COUNTY. HE'S NOT IN IT FOR THE MONEY! KEEP HUNT JOHNSON FOR CLERK OF COURT!!!!!

Hunt Johnson has cut costs and improved technology at the clerk of court office. There is no need for dramatic changes in staff at this time.
