When the average citizen has a D-U-I nothing is on the news unless there is a death or bad wreck, but let a public official or servant get busted and it's all ovet the news.

i can't believe he still has a licenses after 3 DUI's! Other than that why is it news worthy when someone in public services gets a DUI? whenever a firefighter, police, teacher, or politician gets a DUI there is a story saying they got a DUI. Why is it news worthy? they are people just like everyone else, acting like everyone else. Every DUI i should get posted or none.

And out on a school night too.. tsk tsk tsk. Someone is going to have to write "I will not drink and drive" 500 times on the board!
(yes I just posted that somewhere else about this article too, for those keeping track lol) |

Are you all idiots? He is in the news because he is suppose to teach our youth and set a good example. I say expose the jerk, and set an example to his students that this is unexceptable behavior. Too many bad things are pushed under the carpet and too often children learn it's ok to behave this way. The guy needs to go to jail. What are we waiting until he kills someone???

Getting a DUI, especially more than one, is a sign of a deeper problem. We deepend on public figures to hold themselves to higher standards when serving in a public capacity. How can this person be reponsible for the safety of children during the day but totally disregard their safety when out of the classroom?

How is it that this man still had a drivers license with 3 prior DUI's before this last one? The third DUI, he should be considered a habitual offender and his license should have been revolked/suspended for life. I guess he has to kill someone before the good old state of Florida takes his license away for good.

Makes one wonder if he was ever under the influence in class. Very scary.

He is setting the example. He is using a legal drug and the kids he teaches, are using the illegal ones and even in school. |

Here is a picture for you:The George decides to have a few friends over to The Ranch for a bar-b-que, has a few too many brewskies and to have some fun, decides to nuke Iraq with a few hundred warheads,(didn't say he did, just decided to) of course, we should not report it to the media, we don't report everyday people in the news for DUI unless they hurt someone, The higher up the human food chain you go, you need to be held more accountable for your action, or stay at the bottom end of it. |

wow. he doesnt seem like the kind of person who'd be drinking.

In time, you might learn about people who are addicted to anything (and there are all kinds of addictions) if they do it long enough with out getting caught, they learn to hide it quite well, even from the people who know them best. But in the end, most if not all of the get caught one way or another; the body can only handle so much abuse befor showing signs of a problem to the rest of the world. |

I also was a former student last year of Mr. Roberts and IT IS NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!. All year he seen so nice. I also don't think it is right what he did because if you are driving down the road you see many posters saying don't Drink 'n' Drive!!! Lucky for him he didn't get killed. Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes cause I mean 4 DUIs by now you have already learned your lesson.

1 i had mr. roberts last year and he is the BEST teacher i have EVER had. he taught me to where i ACTUALLY remember and liked science. what he did was wrong but if it was a regular person it wouldntve been a big deal. the only reason it's on this site is cuz people are trying to make a big deal of it!! well anyway i learned a lot from mr. roberts and i always was top in his class. so leave him ALONE. cuz anyone who had him would agree. he is the best teacher. |
