This is complete, utter cr^p.

Try and get a schedule out of Franken's office....you won't get one.

Try and get a time and a date when you can "meet and greet" Franken at the fair...they will tell you there is no schedule, you should call in each morning to see if he's going to be there.

This guy is completely unfit for the office he holds. He's running scared and doesn't want to have to face the fact that at least 1/2 of the state considers him lower than pondscum.

Lets see, Senator Franken is visiting the constituents of Minnesota that he represents...talking with them, asking questions. Listening to answers and touring the state. He is making an effort and I cannot see why that is "trying to put lipstick on a pig"...I had NEVER considered Minnesota a pig.

Non-stop indonctrination, from our government media. On the other hand, note that nobody cares enough to cover what actually goes on when the clown comes to town. The left is making bachmann into a national political figure--they don't understand that what they hate, many find admirable.

You have your percentages wrong there. At least half the state (by 312) likes him.

Well, I met Senator Franken at the MN State Fair this week. He was not standing idly on a platform as most politicians do...he was out and about shaking hands and getting to know his fellow Minnesotans. Great guy - WAY BETTER THAN WHAT'S HIS NAME WAS...Oh yea, now I remember taxpayer money misuser normie.

Touring his home state?! Al was born, spent the bulk of his life and raised his family in New York. Please explain to me how this carpet bagger is a native Minnesotan? When we wake up and vote him out I doubt he will ever visit us again...... Thankfully.

You aren't too bright are you? The vote percentage for both Franken and Coleman was just under 42%, not even close to 50%.

Al Franken is traveling around the state of MN, holding PRIVATE town-hall style meetings.

You want in? Too bad. Invite only and you only get invited if you agree with Franken.

This article just could paint a more distorted picture.

Mr. Franken is the victim of bitter and jealous right wing nutjobs with the comments listed here.

He works tirelessly for the citizens of the great State of Minnesota. He is truly a statesman and a leader for all of us.

Leave the petty rhetoric out of it. You should thank him for being part of the new ideology that will bring this country back to her once proud status.

Even if 100% of Minnesotans voted, he still would not have won by a majority. In addition, there was a third party guy (blanking on his name right now) who took a decent majority of the vote. Franken might have won (legitimately? who knows.) but it was definitely not by a majority of Minnesotans.

Wow -- it's yet another slanted love-fest editorial for the biggest jerk in Minnesota's political history.
Let's see now -- what does Al support? Umm -- how about the elimination of secret ballot voting for union representation -- so that the union thugs can bully their way into power. Gee, how democratic.
Plus, he's one ugly cuss, isn't he?

IrishMN, you need to get a life. Don't you have any sense of freedom and personal responsibility? Or do you think that Al and his platform for big government is the cure?

"Working tirelessly"? What the heck has he done?

"Statesman and leader"?? Sorry, maybe for the "victims" like you, but not for anyone that has a brain.

You too can be invited to an audience with New York's 3rd Senator. Just make a sizable donation to the his ongoing money-raising efforts. He'll need quite a bit more cash in six years if he wants to get more than 42% of the vote.

BUT - even if he is just a one term Senator - he's set for life with the special Congressional retirement health care and benefits!
