I just received this update about the missing kansas girl
Body: Yesterday I posted a bulletin about the missing Ark City girl, named Jodi Sanderholm. Here is an Update of what I have heard so far:

They found her clothes at State Lake and have a suspect in custody (Justin Thurber). Sadly, her body was located in the Newkirk area. To my knowledge, the car has still not been located.

Please, please, please pray for her family and friends. I do not personally know Jodi, but regardless this is a tragic event for all that know her. Her family and friends need all the support that they can get and hopefully all of those guilty of this crime will be caught soon and reprimanded as necessary.

Please share this bulletin if you deem necessary and please pray for Jodi, her family, and her friends. Thank You.

I just read the "update" about Jodi Sanderholm.
I think that it was crappy to put info about this that is not true. Whom ever did that must be heartless. Even if they thought it was true they should know the facts first!

News said that a body was found in Southeast Cowley County, but they are waiting on the Sedgwick County Forensics Department to complete the autopsy and indentification.

Yes it is, he should have been in Jail but he complained of chest pains so the Police took him to the Hospital. The Arkansas City Police really need to answer for this.

As always, the criminal has his/her rights more protected than those of the victim. Unfortunately so things you don't know until it's too late.
I appreciate the way the police department is careful about the facts they release, to avoid tainting a jury trial. I had to endure a trial in a small Kansas town this past summer where police actually allowed soooo much information to get out that the victim became victimized, prosecuted, sentenced, and condemned.... all because of inept police work........

The person arrested complained of chest pains, WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL as should be done. Imagine the law-suit if he would have had a heart attack while in jail. Check the Wichita news for a similar situation where the inmate DID DIE after complaining of chest pains. The arrested person was released from the hospital BACK to the police and processed as any other. The police department DID THEIR job. It's the JUDGE that released a repeat criminal. Unfortuanatley that is the frequent case in our back-logged judicial system.

Well for one he never went to jail, that comes from the report the News paper got from the County. So the Police Department DID NOT DO THEIR JOB! Maybe you need to get Check the Facts as your screenname says.
The Arkansas City Police Department is full on Idiots, they have never been able to conduct themselves in a Professional Manner. One can only hope that a New Chief from out of the area can clean this Department up, We had same thing in Newton were I grew up. The old Chief was just like Givens and let the criminals run wild, but once they got a New Chief they cleaned House in the Department and really started to make a difference in the community.

Anybody that has ever been in this town knows that the Police need to step it up, and do their job.
