I will have to agree with you that this or these individuals (I do believe it is one person posting under different names) does have a problem. Either with small towns in general, or for some reason specifically against Gettysburg.<quoted text>They can keep Philadelphia, I'd take Gettysburg any day. The windbag from Chicago seems to have some ego issues when dealing with folks from rural areas, he should visit Fayette County, Pa and bring his snob comments with him. Looks down on "yokels?" Percy the Chicago Couch is a typical slicker, if you ask me.
But I will stand by my point that there are many items of interest in the Gettysburg area besides the Civil War, and so much history in this area outside of Adams County proper. There are some good museums in the Frederick area, and Carlisle.
I myself enjoy a trip to Philly, Washington, and Baltimore every couple of years, and each has some things that I want to see sometime, and with each visit I discover something I want to come back and see.
But I do agree that Gettysburg and Adams County have so very much to offer, and is a much more attractive area to me than the cities. But then again I do live here so I guess I am partial.
