The Third award in Gettysburg is where the majority of the violent crime happens. It's where the gangs shot the girl in the face, killing her. It's where the gang members stalked the man down and set him on fire.

There are open-air drug markets in the Third Ward, and you can see bullet holes and graffiti all over the place, especially in the alleys.

Gettysburg has become so dangerous over the last few years. It's sickening and disgusting how much crime occurs in Gettysburg.

The previous polling place wanted $250 to continue voting at that venue. All other polling places in the county receive $45. It was an issue of fiscal responsibility and fairness.

Actually it was voters' concerns that in the evenings up until 8pm, especially in the general election, it is just too dangerous at the prior location. People have been mugged and robbed leaving the polls. County, state and federal officials have an obligation to protect the constitutional rights of voters and that's exactly what happened here.

To claim that it was someone trying to squeeze a couple hundred extra bucks out of the county twice a year is laughable. It was concerns over safety, pure and simple.

The real reasons are not being publicized. The cost is a cover up just like Davendouche says

This is what I heard too. Unlike some here, I have actually spoken with an election official and have no horse in this race.

Nice try, but no. There has never been an incident of a robbery or mugging at a polling place in Adams County, let alone Gettysburg.

Just a thought, but if you're posting from Chester, or anywhere near there, don't you have bigger issues with crime a little closer to home?

Actually, no. I'm not located in Chester, rather a handful of miles north of the city limits. There is no crime problem here, trust me. We have one of the highest, if not THE highest household income in the state. We have less than a thousand residents in our borough. The average price of a home here is over $450,000. Exclusive, just the way we like it.

If I was interested in posting about the crime issues in Chester, I'd post in the Chester forum.

Are you located in Blackwood, NJ?

Yeah, it's obvious you are not familiar with this area. Thanks for your concern, though. You wouldn't be welcome here with that attitude, and it is unlikely you could afford to live here anyway. Thanks for trying.

I know Delco. You'd have to be more than a handful of miles away from Chester. What town? I'm certain I know it.

Delco sucks. Just read an article on Philly.com "Delco man charged in bank stick-ups". Every time you see the words "Delco man" in a headline you know it's going to be a doozy.

Admit it, I'm in your head, I rule your thoughts. You will never be able to escape this fact.

Your town bites turds and you are a dumb hick. And there's nothing you can do about it.

You're taking stabs in the dark, so have at it, you moron hillbilly! Yeah, Delco doozies! Lol! You try to act like you aren't aggravated, but I know it frustrates you to no end that Gettysburg is being trashed like the toilet it is.

Where did you even come from? I trash Delco and here you come out of nowhere foaming at the mouth not making any sense. I wasn't even talking to you and you'd never posted in this thread before my comment. Maybe I'm in your head eh? And as far as stabs in the dark, nothing in your rambling, nonsensical, exclamation point laden post comes even remotely close to applying to me. Care to try again?

It brings you here, you stupid hick.

What happened to my impersonators? I am them, they are me... Lol, you chumps can't win. That's why you're from Gettysburg. Exactly where you belong.

Your town socks.

Huh? Why does my town have to suck? I get it if you want to say Gettysburg sucks. I think we've established that basically all of Delco sucks. But for you to now say the lovely little hamlet in Montgomery County in which I reside sucks? You are out of line sir.
