Only one word describes all these people: complete ***hole. But the obscene censorship people won't let me spell it all out in plain english.

Chris's excessive posting and looose associations is a strong indication that he is manic. Please call Crisis Intervention Chris and sign yourself into a psychiatric unit voluntarily before you do something extreme and have to be 302'd by the Gettysburg Police.

He's pretty much turned this entire thread into SPAM with his mindless drive. In fact Chris has gotten so far off topic that I don't think this thread can be saved at this point.

As already stated, only one word describes such ignorant, mindless ass*****(Moderator won't allow full spelling).

As for the hiker himself, I wish him well and the perpetrators be caught, whatever the ignorant and stupid motive for such a thing may be.Whether it be ignorant and benighted kids, criminal gangs, or ignorant " know-it-all " extremists who pretend to know everything about the homeless. All you ignorant people out there can say whatever you want about me, I don't care(because your opinion does not count for diddy-squat). But somebody just catch these people, whoever they are.

" QUACK, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack......... I'm another Sigmund Freud penis envy idiot. "

All these ignorant and benighted ass***** need to seek help BEFORE THEY SET ANOTHER HIKER ON FIRE !!!

AS for claims of SPAM, I have just as much right to post as anybody else. Perhaps more so, considering all the small-minded dim-wits out there. LOL....(hysterical laughter). I'm getting a big laugh out of these mentally retarded people.

Well, when it comes straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.... you can't get better evidence of right-wing psychiatric hatred and criminality than that.

Hi Carl

You seem to know as much about this case as I do about gambling. You sould go to the authorities with this information you know so much about.

While here let me remind everyone. If you are weak of character, or just plain dumb like me, don't blow all of your money gambling. I started smoking and now have no desire to gamble anymore!

I'm curious why you would be fueling what amounts to purely speculations on what may have actually happened. It sounds to me that you are simply trying to start something. On my two recent visits I found none of the things you suggested. If it happened as the hiker said I believe it was an isolated incident by some sick individuals.

I heard of this horrible crime while traveling in Europe with my wife. We were so embarrassed and apologetic, most people assume it is this way everywhere in he U.S. We tried to explain that not every place in America is socio-economically challenged like Gettysburg or you name the town.

Some understood but others likened the US as having people behaving like cowboys and always resorting to violence. I said to those people, thank god some countries can resort to violence or else they'd be speaking German right now, and that shut them up might quick! It's too bad that incidents like his overshadow the historical and military importance of Gettysburg. To many haplologists, the battle is one of the most interesting to study and (what used to be) safe access to the battlefield.

Now I'd even give pause to come there with my grandchildren, I wouldn't be so worried about myself, I've survived worse...

That's understandable, you need to think of your grandchildren's safety first.

Seek out all ignorant and small-minded mentally conservatarded hypocrites and complete imbecile A-Holes.... who falsely presume all homeless people(including innocent trail hikers)to be lazy bums, drug addicts, mentally ill, and etc. I say we SET THEM ON FIRE. Shoot them too.

Good riddance of imbecile A-Hole mental conservatards who watch imbecile Rush Limp-brains and crooked sly as a FOX News too much, hate and despise all who are poor and homeless.

Politicize, you say? The radical wrong-wing extremists blamed Barack Obama for the Japanese tsunami. As if he could control the forces of nature. As if Barack Obama was Superman and supposed to push back the tsunami with his bare hands. Next time a volcano explodes way over in Indonesia someplace and kills a lot of people, you can be rest assured the big,bad liberal boogeyman will be the scapegoat to blame for it all. And the reason you don't see Elvis anymore is because he was abducted by a liberal elitist U.F.O. and taken away to planet Liberal.Like as if all these ignorant and small-minded mental conservatards and complete imbecile A-Holes never did ever politicize anything themselves a day in their whole life.

END OF CONVERSATION. I'm outta here too.

You have to be kidding. When comparing Gettysburg crime statistic with Philadelphia in a bar graph, you can hardly see the indicators for Gettysburg. Philadelphia has a higher crime rated that the national average in every category.

But still a good place to visit, if you are interested in colonial history.

LOL! Yeah right, "Philly Cop". I was born, raised and lived there (over 35 years of my life) and moved here to get away from the crazy high crime there. There is NO WAY in HELL the two compare. Not even 1%. All my family and friends (some are even cops) still live there and it's still out of control. Even more so today than it was before I moved here many years ago.

Sure, the person set on fire was a horrible crime. As was the recent murder of that teenage girl, but that sh*t happens in Philly several times a day EVERY day of the week! Not once every 5-10 years like out here. At least out here when it happens it's VERY rare and it's usually domestic. Not like in Philly where anyone walking down the street at any given time can be attacked, stabbed, shot, mugged, raped, etc. I think the biggest crime out here is drunk drivers. Not murders, rapes, muggings, drive-bys, break ins, car theft, etc. So please, don't even try to compare the two areas. It's so far fetched it's ridiculous and laughable.

It sounds like you lived in a sleazy part of Philly. You wouldn't get past the lobby security around here. And I highly doubt I would see you out at dinner unless you were working at the coat check. Have fun in Gettysburg!
