. Take another drink and forget about it. Your obsession with the locals borders on psychosis. Additional self medication may help you

You're just mad because you live in a crime infested cesspool and random people rub it in your face.

If you think Gettysburg is a crime infested cesspool you need to bone up on your facts and stats. What town do you consider home?

I am sure anyone who is truly interested in knowing the crime statistics of any community they wish to visit or move to, will check those statistics with a reliable source rather than accept the ramblings of those posting on here about Gettysburg’s “high crime”.

I did my own search and find it interesting that when comparing Gettysburg, with such places as Whitestone New York, Chicago Ill, Emmaus PA, and Philadelphia PA and have found that when compared to some of these locations, Gettysburg is practically crime free.

The unfortunate thing is that Gettysburg has such little crime, that everything makes the papers in big bold headlines, while in these other communities crime is so prevalent that the same thing that makes the front page of Gettysburg’s papers doesn’t even get mentioned in these other communities.

This is a serious question, if you don't hurt someone that bad after stabbing them do the cops go easier in you than if you hurt them bad? obviously they wouldn't if you killed someone.

It would seem to me that the police should focus on the really serious crimes like shooting someone and killing them or lighting someone on fire after dousing them with gasoline or gunpoint robberies and carjackings.

Serious answer, the police do not determine the sentence of a criminal. The police apprehend a suspect, when they believe they have enough evidence for a conviction. The suspect is put on trial, or pleads in front of a judge and the judge determines the sentence.
