<quoted text>i thought the screaming babies rally was held every day in restaraunts, malls, etc. when my wife and i go out to eat these disrespectful parents drag their sceaming kids in just to make everyone misserable as they are. i might quiten down my motorcycle if you'll just SHUT THAT SREAMING KID UP.
When these "disrespectful" parents start letting thier screaming babies jar you out of bed every morning at 5:00 a.m. then come talk to us about how you ar going to "quiten" down your bike. Straw Man agrumement - You are an adult, not a child ... people have a right to enjoy themselves in thier own PRIVATE PERSONAL PROPERTY without having to listen to your "pipes" - when you are in a restaurant it is the right of the OWNER of the PROPERTY/BUSINESS to decide whether or not he/she will tolerate "screaming babies" - not yours.

Do they even put after market pipes on Police Bikes? Stock exhaust shouldn't pose a problem for the decible meter.

Being stock, I would think that they "shouldn't" vilolate decible restrictions but whether they do in all actuality or not would be dependant upon the reading on the meter. I do know that where there is noise legislation, the decible levels vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. A number of things we find loud on a personal basis fall within the acceptable limits of the legislation.

That provides some interesting fodder right there. Do you have any more information on this rider's case in Colorado? Certainly would open a lot of eyes and provide some defences in other jurisdictions.

LOUD PIPES Save lives
I think those against loud pipes have not ridden much. When I switched from a quiet shadow to my very loud Harley there was a noticeable change. My pipes have save me from many accidents. Cars entering my lane, backing out of parking lots, and just a general awareness of "hey there is a bike around somewhere". I will agree they won't save you from the moron running the late yellow/red but if you ride loud you wil notice the difference.

you loud pipe dip$hits are nothing more than insecure tiny-penised lame brains dressed up as tough guys for fear that someone might discover that you wear women's underwear. keep your stupid bikes in idiotville where they belong, and stay off my country roads.
