If the modifications to Cedarburg Road require borrowing, won't that mean a tax increase to pay the debt? We are against further tax increases. Wisconsin and soon the entire United States are going to be competing to take more in taxes. All will have to tighten their belts. Belt-tightening does not appear to be happening in Washington or Madison. Maybe it has to start at home with local government. Perhaps we should be trying to reduce our existing debt rather than borrow more.
