Mandatory Drug Testing

Eau Claire, WI

It is way past the time that all involved with schools and teaching our children should have to pass mandatory drug and alcohol testing. And also random tests throughout the school year. I am sure that many readers have questions about some of the staff at the local school and their habits, addictions, and the example it gives to our children. If a factory worker or construction worker are required to test why not our public school employees??

As long as you don't bring it to the workplace, or let your lifestyle tamper with your performance, what does it matter what you do when you are off the clock. Teachers have private lives too you know.

I agree! Drinking alcohol is perfectly leagal and that should have nothing to with how well someone teaches my child. I wouldnt even look down on a school official for getting a dwi. As long as my kid isn't in that car, its not of my business and doesnt matter.

This is not his first tangle with the law. He previously was charged for getting into a fight with his domestic partner and had to take alchol assessment classes, anger management classes and the list goes on! The guy was a ticking time bomb. My daughter goes to Jackson Elementary and the teachers are Fabulous there they need a principal that people can respect! Unfortunately some people need to be RESPONSIBLE adults and abide by the law. Understood it was a mistake but he will need to learn from this. Maybe he run the D.A.R.E programs at the schools as he now knows first hand what it can do to your life. We all make choices, and must pay the consequences.
