Hey Clark is this going to continue under your leadership.Let us all know so we can get you out of office.I have heard alot of things you put on these officers and you want them to do more and more with less. What is it going to take?An officer getting killed or some of the nurses get hurt or worse.Wake up!!

i hope it was officer love because that b got on my last nerve while i was in there.people just don't realize that those officers in there be provoking a lot of that stuff.they be telling us that they are going to f us up, have us killed, or some of the female officers be fing around with the inmates.what makes it worse is that when you complain about the officers aint s done about it.the female officers are worse than the male ones.how in the world are you going to go from trying to f with us to threatening us.but this is what your tax $ are paying for.happy spending milwaukee.

It is telling who was on the seen and helpful, and who the powers that be are cutting up.

it is true that jailers can be very mean and abusive. again it is the powers that be, who are to blame. Watch the guards!! listen to the inmates!! Just because you had a 1/2 ounce of pot does not mean the system has the right to be abusive towards you. We all know this happens all to much. This proves that not all inmates are bad people, and they should be treated as such. if you play you pay. This does not include abuse, or intimation. thank god some inmates retain their humanity and do what is right. The guard that was attacked must have been a good soul or the inmates would not have have helped.(just a PS)

Hearing this and listening to both the Officer and the Major makes me wonder how bad it has gotten in that facility. I worked with both of them, even when the Major was an Officer then Sgt. Then Lt. First of all my concern and well wish's go out to Officer Dickens. The public needs to know that what these officers go thru everyday is not a normal day. Support your Public servants, they are there to protect and serve for your safety. I as a prior fellow officer am outraged at how an officer has to be attacked to have everyone know what is going on in the jail. Once again i hope Officer Dickens has a fast recovery and nothing like this happens again to anyone else. Wake up higher ups, remember you were once an Officer, you know how dangerous it was. Once again as a prior Officer (Jef)I hope this opens the eyes for everyone and lets make it a safer place to work.

Must have been a minority inmate or they would have said they were white, typical double standard BS. And the unions are only in it for political gain or money, after all they are democrats.

As a former Officer I would first like to say, Dickens,I hope you have a quick recovery and that this doesn't veer you away from the job. I have read some of these comments and I agree with some but truly disagree with Red Robinhood. You must have been a REAL GEM while you were in. Do the job for 1 year, you wouldn't last. Your ignorance show's in your comments. Get a life, get a job, get some sense. I commend the the Men who came to the aid of Officer Dickens. I agree not all inmates are bad people. Only a few, make it worse for all. We're all human, God created us equal, for some well there is no hope. For the men that stepped up and did what they did I believe that at least something should be done for them. Hell the pretty much save Officer Dickens from further harm. Wake up Clark, how many more assult's do you need on your watch. Its time to go,thats great your trying to do good for the county but what about your Officers???? HELP THEM-PROTECT THEM. Dicken's hang in there.

The citizens of Milwaukee need to wake up and get Sheriff Clark out of office. 3-4 minute gap huh? I guess he knows how to take care of his own people. Needless to say how he'd take care of the people who voted for him. We all know the truth. When will he?

I thought all inmates where horrible. Maybe some of these guys can be saved after all. They did the right thing, however I have a feeling they will not be rewarded for their good deed

it was a concussion. Not a bruised elbow and if it were your butt you'd probally stay away for a loooong time.
This gets me. Everyone has a negative opinion. Thanks to those who write something positive and reassuring. The negativity is what sucks. There's an old saying, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Keep assumptions to your self. If you ain't been there and did not see it then keep your mouth shut.

I use to be a officer also. All the inmates are not corrupt but you are trained not to trust them. I didnt finish my probationary period because you see alot swept under the rug. Officers abusing inmates and still keeping their jobs, dont forget the suspension with pay (vacation). This goes to show you all inmates are not bad if they were she could of been dead. People need to stop assuming just because someone is in jail not make them any worse then you.

I worked in a corrections system here in Wisconsin, and I can tell you that from what I saw, the inmates are often NOT treated very nicely by those who work with them. Besides doing the time for the crime, prison is also a place for inmates to "rehab," and how in the hell can we expect them to "rehab" if we treat them inhumanely. Prisons have come a long ways, but there are too many that have an even longer ways to go. You can't expect anyone to be kind if your not. I could say an aweful lot---but there is not enough space here. Bottom line, not all inmates are murderous people, terrible people, and hats off to the inmates who came to the officer's rescue. I strongly recommend people read some of the stories from Chicken Soup for the Prisoner's Soul. Yes, there is a book for them too.

officer garth-dickens i hope you get better soon. the inmate that assaulted you should get life in prison. i dont know the whole story but for officers to arrive and not be able to get to you is foul. some should be held accountable for that. and garth should get paid for not being protected. she should seek someone to talk to about what happened to her and the county should pay for it.if everyone listens to what each party is saying about the situation it sounds like someones covering up something. garth says under 30 seconds and schoofs says 3-4 minutes. and if the first guard to respond couldnt get in to assist her what is really going on????? holla if you her me...

Where did the 50 officers come from? Did they all leave their post? Do they even have 50 officers working at one time? How much did she get paid to say that? How much do you remember if you have a concussion!!
