He should pay back every penny and serve every day not only in jail, but in community service by cleaning the streets of Ripley, then cleaning the housing units.
His greed and love of money is detestable.

I'm told that he has told several city officials that he is sorry, but the easy money to take was just too tempting. He hopes sometime soon to get back into local or state government work where the work is easy and money plentiful.

IRS might be after him with all those phony personal checks he wrote trying to show documents that he paid someone money for work done. That person then took the check and presented it as income or dollars earned to show proof of. Checks never got cashed.
