It costs jobs, jobs! It's that:“Foreign cars are better.” EMPHATICALLY, THAT’S NOT TRUE! Years ago perhaps it was, but not today.
Proof: March J.D. Power report: For reliability, Buick tops Lexus; Lincoln & Mercury in top 5. Last few years, American and foreign have been neck and neck. Material differences in quality just don’t exist. But they do in minds influenced by BIASED media. For years our own media have been touting foreign, especially, Japanese, and bashing American. Media, supposedly FOR FREE (makes you wonder), help sell MILLIONS of Japanese cars. Also, Japanese car salespeople use scare pitches to trash American ones. Having to fight all this stuff is a nightmare for American automakers. And because they are such a huge factor in our economy, as much as a fifth of it, this costs America dearly, JOBS, JOBS! But the Japanese say,“We give jobs. We build cars here.” SO, they assemble SOME here. Their goal: get people to think:“They’re built here, they’re American.” B.S! They’re still foreign and profits go back to Japan! And MOST, yes MOST, Japanese cars sold here are built in Japan and shipped here by boat! Then there’s this: Every year Japanese parent-corporations in Japan get 31% of their income from car sales in America. Billions that feed Japan’s economy. We’re Japan’s cash cow! This, despite our almost 50 million people with no health care, 37 million in poverty including 18% of our kids, 77,000 bridges needing repairs, interstate highways crumbling, city schools deteriorating, and unemployment at 10%+ in many states, 15.2 in Michigan. Considering those desperate needs, we let the Japanese feed on us? Can we build cars in Japan? No! They impose costs that make it financially unworkable. In ‘08 they bought 10,000 from us but sold us 3-4 MILLION! Fair? And how about this?: They’ve even refused to buy apples from us! In effect, they close their 160 million-people market to us. We let the Japanese get away with this? Yep! In Washington, they have enormous clout. We just let them dominate our Clunkers program. Incredibly, we give Americans rebates to buy foreign. That’s great for Japan and S. Korea! So, their sales have spiked, BUT at the expense of us taxpayers and the Big 3. Did we forget we have 50 billion dollars in the Big 3? Why didn’t we limit rebates to their vehicles? If we had, we would have put thousands of Americans back to work. What’s wrong with that? Instead we boosted Japan and S. Korea’s economies. So, in the end, Clunkers will cost us more jobs and make things even tougher for our companies. We blew it! Oh, BTW, parasite 2, S. Korea, in ‘08 sold us 800,000 cars but bought only 6,000 of ours. Square shooters? Have you noticed few if any Big 3 dealers advertise:“DRIVE AMERICAN?” Why not? Because they’re conflicted; they also sell Asian cars. If they’d push American, they’d put thousands of people back to work. Yes, dealers could help America’s economy. But, shortsightedly, they add to our woes. Anyway, our “FOREIGN-CAR-I-TIS,” fueled by our own media, has finally caught up with us. It has cost America a million jobs! And if we continue unconcerned, we could lose 4 million. But there’s hope: GM and Chrysler’s reorganizing will make them stronger. Nevertheless, the Japanese and S. Koreans are licking their chops hoping the Big 3 fail so they can devour our industry. Shall we help them? NO! NO! Let’s back the new GM and Chrysler, as well as Ford, which is reinventing itself. Of late, Ford’s market share has been climbing. Hopefully, we’re waking up: CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME, not in Japan or S. Korea! Next time support our bread and butter, lease or buy AMERICAN! P.S. More on quality: in 2006, Toyota was under criminal investigation for hiding safety defects: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/07... P.S.S. Kindly send this to others. |
