That's right, I remember now that Obama was president when the rolling blackouts wreaked havoc on California in 01-03...

My 6th grade government class taught me that the president is the leader and keeper of the electrical grid for Northern California - he should be impeached for his negligence!

I had been thinking of switching to solar & wind power for quite a while.
This outage was the final straw for me.
Goodbye PG&E!

Yes, they are dangerous, but Obama is not doing a great job.
In fact, he has clearly proven that he is either very corrupt or he's following the advice of very corrupt people.
Whichever the case, he won't be getting my vote again.
Ron Paul gets it this time.
Not because he's perfect but because he's the best out of the lot we've been given to choose from.

Good luck. No one has stopped you from doing solar and wind. How is a power outage caused by severe storm the final straw? As if PG&E is at fault. Just take yourself off the grid all together and I wish you the best if luck.

1. Years of paying far too much for utilities.

2. Many outages that have lasted for hours because PG&E continues to consider such outages acceptable rather than putting more of their profits into further developing systems that will allow them to quickly restore power.

I started looking into solar & wind last time we had such an outage.
This time I'm going to actually make the switch.
Why haven't I already done so?
Very little free time combined with procrastination and a faint hope that PG&E would improve.
