Seeing as how a federal judge recently found the law un-Constitutional, I guess the tea party "patriots" don't believe in respecting and upholding the Constitution. Hardly surprising.

Judge didn't find any such thing--only set aside enforcement of some provisions pending litigation. When Supremes rule in favor of AZ (hopefully), it will be settled.

You are incorrect - portions of the bill were blocked by injunction b/c the Feds had met their burden of initially proving them to be un-constitutional, inter alia:

When a state infringes on the exclusive power of the federal government, that's a Constitutional infringement.

Requiring warrantless arrests, or detentions without reasonable suspicion soley based on a suspect's race, is a violation of the Constitution.

Maybe later hearings will prove them to be Constitutional - but for the moment, Constitutional violations were a reason why the injunction was issued.

Good day, doozy.

No, you still misstate what happened. The judge's opinion was that the gov't case was stronger. Her opinion. Not a final ruling on the merits which will be heard in an actual courtroom. Hard to see how it is so confusing but legal proceedings can be. The actual cases haven't even been presented in the courtroom--only the arguments by each side. Injuctive relief given to one side is not judicial resolution. I say good day.

The exclusive infringement arguement is more B.S. then reality.

Local LEO's shoudn't respond to bank robberies ?
Local LEO's shouldn't deal with crack houses ?
If something in the Constitution is Fed. only , why do we have layer upon layer of state and local gun laws that many say conflict with the 2nd Amend.?

And, AGAIN, I stress "preliminary." This could all change after the full briefing and hearing on the issue. Again, damn.

Yes, B.S. that immirgation laws are the EXCLUSIVE purveyance of the federal gov't. Your other arguments involve duties that have been granted to the states with concurrent jurisdiction.

I've not stated anything incorrectly. There's got to BE SOME BASIS FOR THE JUDGE'S PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION AGAINST PORTIONS OF THE LAW. That's all I'm talking about.

Doozy, I think you and I just became ships passing in the night - I didn't mean to convey (subsequent to my initial post) that it was a final ruling on the merits - the Constitutional infringement was a basis for the judge's issuance of the preliminary injunction - it's even stated in the opinion. I believe what each of us has stated is correct for the most part...again good day, and I'm glad I'm not in the 100 degree heat today.

What has happen to mankind so much hate, out there with every race. I guess the white man didn,t mine makeing millons off there back, remember it was the white that wanted them here becauser they did not care about wages just wanted to support their love ones. Working in the orchards no one else wanted the job, they started coming here because they were ask to. In the end it was all about money. If the united states were not the most addicted country they would not be here crime comes in every race from the white house on down. The world has gone in the wrong direction sad to say we shoud be mad at the few white men that brought are country down and hurt millions white and every other race. A melting pot right.

White, black, brown, purple, blue, or yellow, it should be required to prove your citizenship in the presence of a law enforcement officer, than the 20 million illegals cant scream your picking on me! This is unconstitutional even tho they shouldn't be protected under the constitution. But what can you do, all you can do is be a puppet for corporate america, thats what it all comes down too....

No it's just the results of Progressive Liberalism tapping people out. Every race has prejudice you should know that based on the wisdom that spews out of your mouth and by the way if there is so much hate out there then maybe it might just be human nature.

Arizona Senate Bill 1070 is a easy 16 page read. http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/s...

Almost at the beginning you will find;
"16 A. NO OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR

17 OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE MAY ADOPT A POLICY THAT LIMITS OR

18 RESTRICTS THE ENFORCEMENT OF FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAWS TO LESS THAN THE FULL

19 EXTENT PERMITTED BY FEDERAL LAW."

Directly from that and without exception as it applies to Arizona SB1070 is United States law that requires aliens 14 years old or older who are in the country for longer than 30 days to register with the U.S. government, and to have registration documents in their possession at all times.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/1302.html

Again for clarity, Arizona's SB1070 only requires the above statement regarding alien registration as Federal Law states.

Furthermore, Arizona's SB1070 FULLY INCORPORATES 4th Amendment Constitutional rights regarding search and seizure. Those that are contending that this is unconstitutional on the basis of search and siezure, racial profiling, remember the bill itself only allows that which is legal under Federal law and guidelines. This matter has already been decided by the SCOTUS.
Whether a law enforcement officer or his department respect the 4th amendment is a separate issue altogether.

The judge didn't strike anything down and hasn't ruled on the legality of SB1070. Essentially the law is put on hold as the legality has been challenged.

Here is where people stand regarding this issue.

the invasion by ignorant illegal mexicans have helped bankrupt our state and infested our entire country. close the border. deport all illegal aliens. stop all social services to illegals. stop all "anchor baby" status.

Say No To DISCRIMINATION, Boycott Arizona Now! Their is nothing patriotic about requiring citizens to carry immigration papers around with them and having local police assume that people of hispanic descent are not here legally. Indeed such practices have now been wisely struck down by a federal judge for what they are - flagrant violations of our constitutional protections.

Those that choose to support policies the immigration policies put forward by the conservatives running the state of Arizona are endangering the fabric of our society by imposing their racist stereotypes to subjugate a growing number of Americans to fascism and ostracism. I thank God that America is a melting pot of a variety of people, not a homeland for self righteous and paranoid patriots out on a witch hunt.
