Deis said the city is facing a $20 million deficit in the next fiscal year. Expanded retiree health insurance commitments in the 1990s have left the city with a looming $450 million unfunded liability.

“Next year, we expect to pay more for retiree health insurance than for our current employees,” Deis said, likening the promises to a “Ponzi scheme.”

Many of us have been predicting this scenario for years. Public employee union greed is affecting mom n pops retirement bonds, and more services will be cut to fund $100k plus pensions and lifetime healthcare for retired public employees.
The bad news?
It will not get any better going forward...in fact.....due to the fact that Gov. Brown(democrat party) are owned by the public employee unions, it will get worse.
Be very careful about buying individual Calif. muni-bonds. Make sure that you check them out first. More defaults will surely occur.

The solution is coming; it's called "Single Payer or Universal Health Care". The projected cost for current retirees is due to the medical industry/insurance companies having a death grip on the consumer who can't do anything about the cost of their medical care except to either go to a foreign country to get treatment/medications at substantially reduced prices or die.

If hObama hadn't excluded public employee unions from participation in hObamacare, you would be correct.
However, as usual, you liberals leave out important info.

Oslamacare has raised the cost and the insurance companies were able to get increases do to oslamacare

Are you aware the morons are adding a tax to the gross sales of medical providers???

Do you understand that this will increase the cost of medical supplies by as much as 40 percent???

As usual you show your ignorance by what you post. Why would Obama Care include people who already have medical insurance? The object is to get as many people covered as possible. If you republicans hadn't forced the Democrats to drop Single Payer during initial negotiations everyone would have the same basic coverage and all those government union persons would only need supplemental coverage if they weren't satisfied with the basic coverage.

But it’s a coming.

The cost of anything to do with healthcare has gone up faster than inflation every year of my life, sometimes by double digits’. And that's all the fault of Obama?

Oh, that’s right, everything bad that’s ever happened is Obama’ fault.

You’re blind if you can’t see that prices of everything that’s been monopolized go up whenever the producer of those products wants them to go up.

Can you quote me saying that????

Nope

We can blame the increases do to oslamacare on him

Like taxing gross sales on a company like Kimberly Clark on all of the toilet paper they sell so they pass that tax on to the healthcare products they make

Sorry moron butt statistically speaking it was going to go up anyway. Toilet paper, the tax will go up higher on the more expensive stuff which will encourage the majority of consumers to by the lower cost store brand that 99% of the time is the same quality. Hopefully it’ll push the rapists out of the market.

Do the math .....

Wrong again rubber ducky

If it was going to go up before this new tax will send it to the moon

It is almost a 3 percent tax on gross sales including toilet paper that Kimberly Clark said will raise the cost it charges USA customers by about 40%

Most every other country in the world bulk buys medical supplies so the suppliers can't raise the price on goods that they sell here so USA will pay it

Because oslama promised the medical industry he would not bulk buy if they supported oslamacare they are already charging the USA 50 percent or more then what they charge the rest of the world

But KC is suing now so we will see what happens

Keep a eye out for smokies rubber ducky

Let's refresh.
I said (and proved) that public employee pensions/healthcare are breaking Calif..... Stockton will default on mom n pops bonds in order to pay for public employee pensions/healthcare.
YOU said hObamacare's (single payer system) will cure the problem..........but the problem still exists.
You are wrong and too stupid to admit it.

Yes we were out fishing with friends from Colorado and we got into town about ten

We went up to Casa Isabel a bed and breakfast for a late night snack and watch the fireworks

We were supposed to go shopping today but my kids were freezing so we split up

When we get back to the house I will have to show them videos of them playing in the snow and cutting a Christmas tree at Grizzly flats between Covelo and Potter valley

They were one and three and hardly remember it but it was the last Christmas we spent in California

We are invited to go skiing but they can't handle 68 degrees and school starts on Monday
