NEW YORK (AP)— Police searched for a woman who killed a man by pushing him in front of a subway train and released surveillance video Friday of her running away from the station. It did not appear the man noticed her before he was shoved onto the tracks, police said, adding that the condition of the man's body was making it difficult to identify him. The woman was described as Hispanic, in her 20s, heavyset and about 5-foot-5, wearing a blue, white and gray ski jacket and Nike sneakers with gray on top and red on the bottom. LOS ANGELES (AP)— A man poured flammable liquid on a 67-year-old homeless woman as she slept on a bus bench in the San Fernando Valley, then lit a match and set her on fire. A witness called 911, and police arrested 24-year-old Dennis Petillo a short time after the Thursday morning attack. He was booked for investigation of attempted murder and was held on $500,000 bail. It wasn't immediately known if he had retained an attorney. The assailant "just poured it all over the old lady," the witness, Erickson Ipina, told reporters. "Then he threw the match on her and started running."

The fiscal austerity crisis has been temporarily averted, but given the apparent animosity between the current leaders of Congress its a miracle that any deal was made at all. Politico has a rather lengthy breakdown of the last week or so of negotiations that led to last night's budget bill and it leads off with an anecdote illustrating the current state of American politics . As they arrived for a much-hyped meeting with the President last Friday afternoon, Speaker of the House John Boehner spotted House Majority Leader Harry Reid approaching just steps from the Oval Office. According to "multiple sources," Boehner pointed his finger at Reid and without any other fanfare said, "Go fuck yourself." When Reid asked him what he was talking about, Boehner simply repeated his curse and moved on.

Some conservatives will also have crazy kids, yes. As a majority, though, My money is on conservative kids being more productive as a whole in life. But that's also just my opinion.

Good job repubicans for cutting spending of mental health. Let's see. During the Reagan Presidency the House was Democratic, then there was Clinton, the last 4 years Bush had a Democratic House, Obama had all of Congress for 4 years. Why haven't the Dems increased spending on mental health issues? To me that would be the more pertinent question rather than blaming a GOP president from 30 years ago.
