"on their list of sexual deviants under observation with many contacts with the police."
Could be just a guy who enjoys the innocence of youth, or someone with a developmental disability who sees the kids as his equal. but his outward appearance worries people so they call the cops on him often.
Or he's a serial rapist

Well Duh. Like do we really have to teach parents to watch their children. People really are dumber than domesticated turkeys.
Maybe the guy was just a sexual deviant killer, just scoping out his next fun adventure. Whats wrong with that. See the worthless Chico Police didnt do a thing to him. So the guy must be just fine and harmless.

The parents were to stoned doing their noodle-dancing to care. After reading the letter, they'll probably be more upset at the perv's "rights being violated" and will complain about it at the next Chico Peace and Justice Center get-together/commie love-in.

These hippies gyrating to the sinful sounds of rock music are ruining their kid's future. They should reform and go to church where child abuse NEVER occurs because faith cures deviance.

Kudos to the letter writer. Unfortunately the CPD's hands are tied what with the legislative laws that say deviants cannot be arrested unless they are caught 'in the act', at which time it is too late. Asking the person to stay away from children apparently isn't working. Might check around local schools also, he might be there! By the way, I'm not from Los Molinos or whatever this posting says.

There are church goers who honestly believe that they can beat their kids because Jesus will forgive them. Christians alone have become more hostile. Don't tell me people already forgot about Sandra Cantu.

Don't tell me people already forgot about Sandra Cantu. I am thinking "Mr. Churchman's" statement may be dripping with sarcasm. Just a possibility..... I do agree. Just because you say you are a christian, does not mean you are actually living as a true one. People contort the bible to say what they wish so it is in accordance with how they live their life or feel. In actuality, common decency, respect, kindness, and a shred of morality will get you quite far, regardless of your beliefs. It is sad but we do have to warn those who are not as observant about sexual deviants and downright creepsters. There is such a thing as having too much trust and faith in the decency of humankind, especially when it is necessary for the general public to take matters into their own hands....such is the case here.

Instead of serial killers targeting random persons they really need to put all their focus and attention on these low lifes. Just pull up a list of them online and start crossing names off.

Sure, go to church. Anyone read the recent story about the woman church pastor who sexually abused and starved her five adopted daughters back East? Life imprisonment but that's not good enough for her. They lived in a garage with no heat or air conditioning. But she was a church leader!!

Sorry, it wasn't back East. It was here in SoCal. Moreno Valley.

Thank you for protecting the children and going with your gut instinct. I remeber a similar incident at the 20th St. ark a few years ago when I noticed a man parked in a car just watching the children play. I walked close to the children and saw the man become extreamely irratated with me as one of the boys asked me to come with him while fetching a ball that had rolled next to the mans car. I told the other moms sitting close by that something felt "off" so we all started watching, the man became visibly upset and drove away. I was not quick enough to get his license plate but when he came back half an hour later with a hat on in a different car, I got it that time. This man was on the megans law list and hopefully was sent back to jail. It is scary to think, but these people are where children play, and parents need to know that it's not like when they were young.

I appreciate the intent of the letter written, which is to be aware and protect our children. I do not apprecriate all the spin off in this forum, but of course, any one can comment with whatever is on their minds.
Regardless of who this individual at the park was, I think the point of the letter was for parents/guardians to heighten their level of awareness in public places. Good point, thanks.

Thank you for the heads up and I agree with you. I was at 20th st park tonight and there are A LOT of people out there and lots of kids. Way too many under the age of 7 running around with no adult.
It's sad that it takes an innocent child to be molested before the adult can be arrested. Poor children.
And yes even in 'church' kids aren't 100% safe. No matter how many guns your ushers are packing.
There's a 'church' in town that provides transportation for kids and there is a child molester(on Megan's List) that rides the very same transportation those kids are on. And all the ushers can do is 'keep an eye on him'. Strange that he's even allowed on the same vehicle with them. Especially since on the ride home each child is dropped off and he sees where they live.((shudder))

oh yes by the way, the preacher believes they 'need somewhere to go to, to learn about God' so he's ALLOWED to ride their transportation service. With the kids.

By then its too late. Lets completely support proactive preventive destruction of pre-crime adults before its too late to save the innocent!

It took an aware parent to spot this guy. Just goes to show you still need to trust your intuition. It is so shouted down by the P.C police one would almost apologize for "thinking" such evil apon a person... And who ever said the Peace and Justice people would be all about the perverts rights over the saftey of the children was spot on

Years ago I took my family to 20th street park on kite day I had two of my kids with me at the swing/playground my third kid was with my EX-wive with a group of bible thumpers praying/studying and not paying attention to the where abouts of my kid I came over and asked where he was and she said oh I lost track while I was studying I forget that and lets go find now "we did" but her comment to me was (its ok god is watching over him and will protect him).I could not believe she would say something like that. Maybe I was overly protective of my kids but thats the way I think and to this day I see parents letting their run off and go thru exactly when I went thru and when they find them they thank god. Well in this day and age god has nothing to do taking care and watching your kids its their job period leave the bible behind and be a good parent maybe in your next bible study god will thank you for that.
