Some say Jesus was just a prophet, or a good man or a carpenter..... Others say Jesus is the Messiah, the only way to Heaven. I'm here to tell you (according to the Bible) that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and He's the ONLY way to Heaven. John 14:6.

I'm no "Bible Thumper" or whatever else it is that people call Christians. I'm simply a man, who embraced sin for a long, long time. I've been drunk, I've gambled, I've stolen things, I've beat people up, I've been beat up, I've been high, I have committed adultery, I even tried the gay thing when I was younger (no joke). Sad but true. But none of that worked for me and none of that gave me peace in my life...... UNTIL I repented and gave my life to Christ. It took me 43 years to figure it out, but now I know what abundant life is all about. You can call me a "Holy Roller" a "Jesus Freak" etc, but I don't care what you call me. Jesus lives in my heart now (The Holy Spirit) and NOTHING in this world compares to Him and believe me, I've tried about everything. Now that I'm saved, it's easy to see how saturated this world is with sin. If you're lonely, depressed, lost, struggling, hurting, etc, PLEASE give Jesus a try. What have you got to lose???

I too, have tried everything else in this life. I have been a drug addict, a drunk, a thief, a prostitute. All leave you only looking for more, feeling empty and alone. I too, turned to Jesus Christ. He has saved me, changed me, and filled me. I feel whole and complete. I know he will never leave or forsake me. His spirit guides me. He has taken the desires for those old addictions away, made me knew in him. Jesus now lives in me. I am free!!! His promise is for any and everyone. Jesus loves you and He's waiting for you to come home!

sounds exactly as i thought. you all are easily influenced and have addictive personalities. followers, easily influenced because you are constantly searching for a reason of being. do you think birds and dogs set and ponder who made them and where they will go when they die?

Flip: FYI: Birds and dogs have no soul therefore it doesn't matter what they think. But as for you and me and every other human on this earth, we have a soul and that very soul will eternally reside in either one of two places:

A: Heaven

or

B: Hell

As for me , I'm choosing eternity in the non-smoking section, which is HEAVEN:)

The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man (Genesis 2:7) and animals (Genesis 1:30; 6:17; 7:15, 22) have the breath of life. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death.

Another factor to consider is that animals are a part of God’s creative process in Genesis. God created the animals and said they were good (Genesis 1:25). Therefore, there is no reason why there could not be animals on the new earth (Revelation 21:1). There will most definitely be animals during the millennial kingdom (Isaiah 11:6; 65:25). It is impossible to say definitively whether some of these animals might be the pets we had while here on earth. We do know that God is just and that when we get to heaven we will find ourselves in complete agreement with His decision on this issue, whatever it may be.

and how many days did you spend with the guys that wrote the bible learning "what they really meant"??? it's called being totally CLOSED MINDED" to any interpretation of religion other than your own, for fear of what it would mean if you were wrong!!!!!!!! the only fact that cant be argued here is that at least 85% of the worlds populations have in fact spent their entire lives worshipping a false god!!! think about that for a second..........what are the chances that your particular denomination or religion (which may have only been practiced the last 100 yr or so) turns out to be the correct one??

Doodle Bug: You can call me "close minded" all day long and pretend that the Bible isn't real and that Christ is a phony etc. But all I can tell you is the power of my witness to you is the Holy Spirit that lives inside me, that I received when I surrendered to Jesus Christ, when I turned from my sinful lifestyle, and to Him for help. The Spirit is what transforms a life (Titus 3:5) and a transformed life is evident to all. The validity in a true Christian, who is telling others about Christ, is shown in the way they live their life (Phillipians 2:15). The effective Christian witness will live his/her life above reproach in the power of the Holy Spirit, whose fruit we exhibit when we remain in Christ (John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23). In other words, there are a lot of hypocrites out there, who go to church on Sunday, but paint the town red Monday through Saturday. Believe what you will Mr. Doodle, but there's no denying Jesus Christ for me. The Holy Spirit is something you will NEVER understand until you accept Christ. God Bless-
Leann

Wacka: Even though it is really sixty-six individual books, written on three continents, in three different languages, over a period of approximately 1500 years, by more than 40 authors who came from many walks of life, the Bible remains one unified book from beginning to end without contradiction. This unity is unique from all other books and is evidence of the divine origin of the words which God moved men to record.

Another evidence that indicates the Bible is truly God’s Word is the prophecies contained within its pages. The Bible contains hundreds of detailed prophecies relating to the future of individual nations including Israel, certain cities, and mankind. Other prophecies concern the coming of One who would be the Messiah, the Savior of all who would believe in Him. Unlike the prophecies found in other religious books or those by men such as Nostradamus, biblical prophecies are extremely detailed. There are over three hundred prophecies concerning Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. Not only was it foretold where He would be born and His lineage, but also how He would die and that He would rise again. There simply is no logical way to explain the fulfilled prophecies in the Bible other than by divine origin. There is no other religious book with the extent or type of predictive prophecy that the Bible contains. Another external evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word is the integrity of its human authors. As mentioned earlier, God used men from many walks of life to record His words. In studying the lives of these men, we find them to be honest and sincere. The fact that they were willing to die often excruciating deaths for what they believed testifies that these ordinary yet honest men truly believed God had spoken to them. The men who wrote the New Testament and many hundreds of other believers (1 Corinthians 15:6) knew the truth of their message because they had seen and spent time with Jesus Christ after He had risen from the dead. Seeing the risen Christ had a tremendous impact on them. They went from hiding in fear to being willing to die for the message God had revealed to them. Their lives and deaths testify to the fact that the Bible truly is God’s Word.

A final external evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word is the indestructibility of the Bible. Because of its importance and its claim to be the very Word of God, the Bible has suffered more vicious attacks and attempts to destroy it than any other book in history. From early Roman Emperors like Diocletian, through communist dictators and on to modern-day atheists and agnostics, the Bible has withstood and outlasted all of its attackers and is still today the most widely published book in the world.
Throughout time, skeptics have regarded the Bible as mythological, but archeology has confirmed it as historical. Opponents have attacked its teaching as primitive and outdated, but its moral and legal concepts and teachings have had a positive influence on societies and cultures throughout the world. It continues to be attacked by pseudo-science, psychology, and political movements, yet it remains just as true and relevant today as it was when it was first written. It is a book that has transformed countless lives and cultures throughout the last 2000 years. No matter how its opponents try to attack, destroy, or discredit it, the Bible remains; its veracity and impact on lives is unmistakable. The accuracy which has been preserved despite every attempt to corrupt, attack, or destroy it is clear testimony to the fact that the Bible is truly God’s Word and is supernaturally protected by Him. It should not surprise us that, no matter how the Bible is attacked, it always comes out unchanged and unscathed. After all, Jesus said,“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”(Mark 13:31). After looking at the evidence, one can say without a doubt that, yes, the Bible is truly God’s Word.

So I'm right. Thanks.
Quick thought; Who wouldn't want to attack and obliterate a religion that is murderous- and responsible for mass genocide throughout history, when there are more peaceful and long lasting religions that have also survived throughout the millenniums?
