I hate unions
but I belong to one tractor & crane operators mostly infrastructure and large building construction

went to a 10 hour OSHA certification class at the union training center and all the instructor talked about was how Obama screwed them over by sending the stimulus overseas and laughed about the shovel ready jobs werent so shovel ready 90% of the rank and file out of work , that was a few years ago , somehow I got an extra two years work since then , just ran completly out a few months ago, I did the last LAUSD school construction job and saw 75% of the LAUSD guys get layed off at the end

when it got real slow the union bosses told the remaining workers they were going to take another $5 an hour from our pay and cut medical benefits to cover their expenses
so all the rah rah union guys say its important to go to the next meeting and protest

so I go to the meeting , nobody really protests much when the comment time comes just a few Baahhs , I stand up and say " instead of picking our pockets for $5 an hour, why not cut our pay the $5 so that the employer can bid lower , be more competitive and get us more work "........ to a bunch of boos

after the worthless comments an old union thug gets up and mumbles "good news , we are only taking another $3 an hour from your pay on top of the $3 we already take, 90 % of the union is on the out of work list so we need more money to operate, and we need to cut the healthcare and the pension is in the red"
some union agents spread out in the seats stand up and start clapping and cheering and all the other union rank and file idiots start standing and clapping too,

I'm just sitting there thinking what a bunch of idiots my union "brothers" are, no wonder the unions are so successful

the union just screwed these idiots and they are cheering !
hey Im just along for the $40 an hour ride

. If it wasn't for that union you would be complaining about the company taking $5/hr from your $15/hr job!! For every union job that has took a pay cut there are 10,000 non-union jobs that have been slashed. A union can't make money for employees if it isn't there to make. But it can help them get a reasonable salary for them based on the companies profits, as opposed to the company simply paying you as little as they can get by with.

. Hey spazzing off when I asked earlier if you had a choice to pay a union man to fix your plumbing at your house for $800 or pay a nonunion $500 you never had the guts to answer so what would you do out your money where your mouth is!!!! You cheap ass boasters you would take the $500 and you know it also you would accept the risk of hurting your family by having a non trained jack leg install it incorrectly your a waste ! You won't emblem give an answer on the plumbing issue you gutless pile of dung!

Michigan becomes right to work state. Now their economy gets a second life and they can recover. Unions killed that state and nonunion labor will rebuild.

Unions have no place in today's work place. Maybe in the 20s but not now. There are 23 right to work states now. Country's not destroyed. Those poor fat union bosses may have to find a new profession. Hahaha

Why do liberals hate wealth? You don't have to be evil to gain wealth. Being wealthy doesn't make you evil.

you're probably right. probably has nothing to do with the fact that the anti-union floodgates just opened in michigan, the cradle of collective bargaining and labor rights in the USA. probably has nothing to do with the fact that there probably won't be much of a union before long for tmmk workers to turn to when management brings their labor costs in line with every other manufacturing occupation in the state by cutting wages and passing more of the cost of benefits along to the team members. i'd say toyota's management probably has no idea that they don't really need to be so concerned with whether or not their workers will unionize anymore.

yeah, this is probably because of obamacare.

and when you hear hooves beating over the hill, it's probably zebras. definitely not horses.
