There is a new clinic that just openend by Walmart in the old Freidmans jewlrey strore.
Do not go to this clinic. They are owned by a company out of Berea, and one of the owners has been convicted of Medicare and Medicaid fraud, along with private insurance fraud.
They try to tell people they are associated with the Urgent Treatment Centers that are in Lexington, and the local UTC that has been in Georgetown for years, but they are not.

I think they are owned by Dr. PG Raithatah, he used to have a clinic in Nicholasville a long with the one in Berea, McKee and Hazard. The FBI did a sting and convicted him of defrauding his patients, I am not sure how he was allowed to reopen a clinic.

You would also want to stay away from the new drug store beside the subway across the street from this one. They are crooks also!

I took my child there the other day and we will not be back. I guess the fact that they were totally empty at 5:30 pm should have tipped me off to what everyone else has already figured out

I went there once, and the older Dr. tried to tell me that my 8 yr old son probably has COPD. Now again, he is only 8 and yes, I smoke but not in my house or my car when he is in there with me. I took him to Georgetown Peds the next day and they broke out laughing at the nonsense. I will never take my family in there again, I dont care how serious the situation is. I don't recommend it for anyone else either.

Yes, you can't have COPD at the age of 8. But I gotta laugh at the stupidity of Totally Amazed. Sorry, but smoking "not in my house" when your son is around is just laughable. If you smoke and have a kid, you're hurting him. You're just as irresponsible and stupid as the doctor who saw him.

Well said!! I hope your habit is worth yours and all of the other lives in your house, because you are ALL getting to smoke. Give yourself a hand!!

Here come all the Christian judgemental people. Ok, so I misworded my earlier post. I do not EVER smoke in my home so no, my family is not subjected to my habit. Do I smoke in my vehicle when I am by myself, yes. I don't see the harm that I am putting my children through with how I do things. I am a very responsible and wonderful mother who loves my family to pieces and would NEVER do anything to jeopordize their well beings so these last 2 posts---Get off your high horses and quit judging everyone else. As for me being as stupid as this foreign Dr. that can barely speak the wonderful English language, this forum topic was to talk about the likes/dislikes of the new clinic- not to harp on people who accidentally misworded their post!

There is a thing called 3rd hand smoke, it is the toxins left on furniture, clothing, and fabrics from smokers. Your children are being exposed to this. But I agree this is about the lousy substandard care at that clinic

Hello shall i start off by saying that not everyone agrees with dr.'s all the time nor does everyone have pleasant experiences everywhere that they go in life BUT I can tell you that no my OWNER has not been convicted of insurance, medicaid or medicare fraud because genius he wouldnt have a practice running now would he. We are very well educated around here and dont do anything but what we believe and our education tells us is right. So before you start gossiping like you have nothing better to do why dont you let people come see for themselves. Thank you and hope you have a great day! By the way no matter if you smoke in the house or car YES your son is breathing in the second hand smoke!!!

All of you are wrong, that place is awsome! They have treated me and a few people in my family! They know what they are doin unlike the other shit hole places around here like UTC and Georgetown Community! They never affiliated themselves with the UTC because when I asked they told me they were tottally different company!

Yes they are a great place and I would recommend anyone to go there. I went to the UTC and they did a FLU test which was negative but they said I had the FLU any ways and gave me tamiflu, and two days later went there and they immediately seen that I had pneumonia and admitted me to the hospital, come to find out it was bacterial pneumonia, UTC could have caused me lots of damage! What dumbasses! Georgetown Urgent Care is GREAT!

Kim if you dont know that a new buisness takes time to pick up then you are just dumb. They have plenty of buisness I work next door to them and they stay very well busy to be as new as they are and I myself have heard nothing but good about them, and how nice and pleasant the doctors and nurses are there!

I think everyone at the Urgent Care is Great and I couldn;t imagine saying anything bad about doctors that give you their cell phone #'s when you are sick!!!!!!
as well as they are cheaper than UTC and offer more. As urgent care said before all doctors do not always agree on diagnosis, but did you ever stop and think maybe he told you your child had COPD because it might scare you enough to stop smoking around them? I don't know what he thought but did the pediatrician see xrays? there are many things in KY (allergens) that can cause COPD as well!
Just remember when you assume things it only makes an ASS out of U and ME (assume)!! And as the urgent care said before if he was convicted of anything he would be in jail or not in business, but I do know for a fact that whomever this guy that fraud who ever doesn't own Georgetown Urgent Care!!!! you need to become more educated before opening your mouth:(

I have been a patient of Urgent Treatment Clinics for years. My entire family uses them for primary care. We have seen a doctor every time we go there. We primarily see Dr. Nalda, who is an amazing caring physician who calls back personally to check on us. The clinic is open 7 days a week 10-12 hours a day so obvioulsy Dr. Nalda cannot be there everyday. On other visits we have seen Dr. Greene, Dr. Bascha, Dr. Estus, Dr. Webb- so I am not sure where you are getting your information about them not having a doctor on staff, they have many. I do know they also hire Physican Assistants (as do all primary care offices in Georgetown as well as most in Lexington) the PA works under Dr. Nalda.

I think just from reading the posts on this board that it is obvious that a new clinic has come to town and has utiized their employees down time by allowing them to come on a site such as this and slander a clinic that has not only given my family great healthcare but has served this town well for many years. In fact they outgrew their current facility a while ago and are opening a much larger clinic that will be open longer hours to accomodate their clients. I am not sure when it will open, last time I was in they were thinking in September.

I've been to the Urgent Care, my husband has, my son, and a few other family members. I loved the treatment received. The nurses are wonderful with my 2 year old. He had never been more at ease at any doctor's office. It is convenient to walk in, and any law enforcement does not have to pay a copay. Also a plus for us. I have nothing bad to say about them.
