It's not the best pizza in town, but it's decent. I believe you would be correct about the Mama/mouse part though, because when I ate there the lady(with the gray hair that I'm sure it was her hair was in the food) told me she's the owners Mom. Oh wait you probably already knew this since you sound like an owner, employee or the Mama. You people are crazy!

O.K. we've got four kids and we try to find decent places to eat out as the occasional treat. My husband brought me a steak n cheese from this place and it was disgusting! It was a processed meat patty-NOT STEAK! The home fries were a frozen pre-formed tater imposter the pizza he got for the kids was all
just artificial cheese and processed crap!

The reason we wont be getting any decent places to eat in Georgetown is because of the mayor and his new 'Food Tax' he has put on all eating establishments.

No decent business will come here.
I guess Lexington will get our business!

Ate there this weekend and ordered a vegi sub, noticed it had pepperoni on it so I sent it back. The waitress and the owner came back to my table and preceded to tell me that pepperoni is a vegetable and they would not redo the sub because it was correct the first time. Not to mention there weren't enough vegetables to cover half a piece of bread, let alone an entire sub bun, and the price was outrageous! Very unfriendly staff too! Will not be back.

They won't last long, they are terrible at customer service and the prices are way too high for this area. And to tell someone who works in the food industry everyday that pepperoni is a vegetable?! Since when?! Idiots must be running that place!

That is so untrue! I would never tell a customer that it was fixed right the first time. The customer is always right! I know what a vegetable is and we all know pep is not a veggie, so you cant come up with something better than that? You say I came to your table and told you that that pep is a veggie? Thats a lie, anyone who knows me will tell you I do what it takes to make all customers happy and coming back. I would be embarassed to say something like that. You say you work in the food industry, is it that you are getting worried we going take business from you? I notice you wont say where you work pukie johns, domino no nos. Have u heard of slander? I will not tolerate lies, and will prosecute!

Slander, just for saying I had a bad experience lol. This was my third time eating at your restaurant, and I had actually enjoyed and told many people they should check it out, until this last visit with friends. I do work in the food industry, I work for the government and serve food to people 5 days a week. So no I'm not afraid of you taking business from me, or who I work for. Also that would mean I don't work for another local pizza company. The only thing I could be wrong on is who said that pepperoni was a vegetable. After I sent the sub back, a gentleman came to my table( which I was not alone, there were 4 of us) the waitress was with him. He said he was the owner, when I asked his name, he said well I'm a manager owner, and still never gave a name. So maybe it wasn't you? Do you have another male employee who is manager? Just so you know, I don't eat at Mi Mexico, Frischs, or McDonald either, all because of bad service and/or food mix-ups, so you are not alone.
Ate There The Other Day

I ate there the other day. The food was good and they took requests for the buffet. It is a classier atmosphere than Cici's, but that wouldn't take much. I thought the cost of a lunch buffet was a little high at $10, but that could be me. I don't really see a problem with the place, and this country needs to get over this "the customer is always right" BS. The customer is the purpose of the business and will be catered to until they try to cheat the business or expect the business to worship the ground they walk on.

I worked customer service for years and the only problem I ever had was when a customer forgot that they are not the center of the universe and I had no trouble reminding them that they are just like everyone else and aren't going to get more than anyone else would. I had no problem going the extra mile if asked, but you act entitled and you will get sent to the same line everyone else goes through.

Back on topic, try the food and see if you like it. If you don't like it, then don't come back, if it something you think the manager should change, then say something to him, but don't expect everything to switch to suit your needs. If you don't like the food, then make a suggestion or don't come back. No one is forcing you to eat there.

I am not the owner, I am an actual customer who ate there last night 11/5 for the first time. I even asked for the owner (who was cooking all the food himself) and talk with him after my family and I were done eating.

Rankings (1-10)
Dining: 7
Service: 7
Food: 10

Pros:
- TV's and TV Projectors. They had the Disney Channel on which was great for keeping the attention of my two sons, 7 and 4 years old.

- The food was fantastic. I can say it is as good as Joe B's in Lexington if not better. Sauce and Dough are spectacular. We had a 2 topping pizza for my son, baked spaghetti for my son, fettucini alfredo for my wife and I had a 2 topping calzone. All of it was great! They deserve the term Pizeria on their sign.

- The restaraunt, bathrooms, dishes, glasses and silverware were all very clean

- The lighting was dim in the evening making it very peacful.

Cons:
- Salad bar is lacking
- Buffet is only at lunch
- Extras are not on the tables (cheese, salt, pepper, crushed red peppers, etc.)
- Menus are not fully loaded into the computer system so receipts are hand modified (Kids Menu)

Summary:
Excellent food, at a decent price. I believe you pay for what you are getting. They need a little work and some support from the local community. This is a small business in which anyone could see based on the visuals and minor short comings, but a small business no doubt. This country needs to support small businesss, it could create jobs for more college students, high school students, seniors looking for work in retirement years. It will be difficult for them to surive in a hidden nook of Georgetown where a Pizza business already failed. I wish them the best of luck! I will be back and I am already sending co-workers there based on my experience!

I will not check back to see comments so don't waste your time with negative or rude replies. God Bless America.

I was employed by Slicers and they still owe me 2 paychecks. I quit after working there for a short period of time due to the hostile environment. Yelling and screaming, fighting in the dining room between then owner and people that owes money. It was embarrassing to work there, people would threatening me because of there problems. Not to mention the personal issues they drug me into. The best part, they tried to pay me in food, 2 weeks worth of pay in food, are you stupid? I have a family to take care of! They also did several illegal things and are probably still doing them. The proper people have been notified about the stuff. They try to pretend to be perfect classy people, but after what I've seen and witnessed, they are trashy and belong in a trailer park.

Well they shouldn't of opened doors if they didn't have 6months of overhead to operate - that is minimum it would take to start turning a profit. Its tough for small business to turn a profit these days and now that so many smart people in this country re-elected obama-it will be impossible turn a profit for any small business. So this place has NO shot -along with many others.

Took my son there for his birthday. Definitely over priced. The staff kept staying at us making my son uncomfortable. The were friendly checking on us numerous times. 3 pizzas 6 salad bars and 7 drinks was $85. Salad bar was not worth much and would have preferred a buffet in the evening probably will not be back.Good luck though.

It would actually be libel not slander. Slander is verbal, libel is published or written.

As we all know Georgetown does not have the best choices for restaurants so when I saw a new place, ďSlicersĒ, opened I wanted to give it a try. I waited a few weeks to get the bugs out and went Friday 11/23 at night. Over all, the place is nice. They need to hang some more pictures and change them up. What I mean is they have a picture of the Statue of Liberty hanging on a wall poster size and then at the booth is the same picture 5x7. Need to change it up. They have a pool table and thatís great but itís broken, need to get that fixed or get it out. The pizza was ok and to me ok is a problem. I can get ok pizza from the frozen food section at Kroger. I wanted this place to WOW me. I was born and raised in NYC so I donít go to Dominoís, I used to when I was in college but who didnít. I donít make my own pizza, thatís what pizza parlors are for. I was really hoping this place had the WOW factor and all it is right now is an overpriced Pizza Hut and I donít go there either. Now with all that said I think the owner is a nice guy and given time to grow it will be good. The nice thing about not being part of the cookie cutter chain is he is free to do what he wants without having to ask for permission. I will give it another month and go back. Hopefully by then he has gotten rid of the bad waitresses. Also he needs to get real ingredients on the pizza. The sausage was just like pizza hut. He needs to get real sausage, boil it, grill it and ďSLICEĒ it. Not roll it up into tiny balls and throw it on the pizza and hope it cooks fully. The same with the meatball topping. Make meatballs, fully, and then cut them up. Tiny balls of chopped meat on pizza is NOT a meatball topping, thatís uncooked hamburger. Ok, I will wait a month and try it again. Slicers, you have 30 days to WOW me.

How could they owe you 2 paychecks? Really? We are not that stupid. You work for a week and if someone doesnít pay you, don't go back to work till you get paid. Does not matter when excuses you get, no pay no work. You sound young, stupid, and immature. You better grow up before you get your next job; I mean if you get a new job.
