Why would anybody open yet another sh*t pizza place in this town? G'town is full of below average pizza places and crap chain pizza places.
What is even dumber, is why would you open a pizza place, AT a former pizza place that failed?

Slicers used to be in Nicholasville but is moving to Georgetown. It's not going to be your normal chain so it will be a little more expensive but it's WONDERFUL!!!!! You should be very excited that they are coming to Georgetown. One of my friends have severe heartburn and she can eat this pizza with no troubles. They have so much to choose from. I also heard they will have a lunch buffet bar. Yummm. So support your local buisness and give them a try. PS... I work near Papa Johns and I've NEVER saw anyone dumpster diving. Have a great day!!!!!

I think that getting a new pizza place is a good idea. I miss cicis because it was a good pizza place with a game room for the kids and teens. We now don't even have a bowling alley and at least one place where kids can hang out. It would help decrease the rate of kids being arrested it they had somewhere they could have fun and hang out.

The only bs is you! You need to get your facts straight, I have checked them out through the Jessimine Heath Dept. I spoke with a heath inspector named Lyndsie, she said they were very much missed by the community, had the best pizza, and never scored under a 98 on their health inspection. Go shit in your pants somewhere else a-hole!

I am at slicers right now... I dont think they should have opened their doors quite yet... They arent fully operational... Down to the fact that they dont even have table salt. All the pizza was burnt... Staff was akward... And their food was pretty bad. Im not bashing... Im just hoping they work out the kinks and get it up and running!

Think they will do ok. They said this was just a soft opening just to get some business in and get the word out. Pizza was ok, yes a little burnt, but that should go away once the oven(s) get broken in, I hope. I enjoyed the salad and the cheese sticks were delicious. I wonder if they are still waiting on some supplies to be delivered, I noticed a few things that they could add. Staff was a bit awkward, but my waitress was a teenager, so I wonder if that's part of the problem? I'll go back in a few weeks and see if they have improved.

Hopefully they don't use the nasty canned pizza sauce & that 3cheese mix on the pizzas!!! Pizza should be made with only mozzarella unless ordered with 3cheese! Why do all the chains use that pre mixed cheese - it comepletely changes the taste!!!!

I'm happy someone local is taking over. We really need a good pizza place here, hopefully this will be it. The owner is proud of the sauce recipe and really wants to make his customers happy. Anyone wanting to be successful knows if your customers aren't happy, you're screwed.

Give them a bit to get settle in before condemning them. And obviously the people shitting all over it without trying it are just miserable bitter morons. Getting used to new pizza ovens does take a little time, soft openings exist for a reason.

Also, this isn't the want ads. If you want a job there, take your butt down there and apply.

I work at Slicers and have to say that all of you are very uninformed and uneducated. The owners are Johnny and Bridgette, a married couple with a beautiful daughter. They make the pizza fresh when you order it and are very cleanly. They left nicholasville because their lease was up and they didnt see business going as well there. They also were tired of crappy employees. Slicers has an amazing array of pizza to choose from and is very enexpensive. Before you discount them please try it out and get your own opinion. Ps. We don't dumpster dive, lol.

We went in there on Sunday night and was told they only take cash and checks. We didn't have either but asked if we could take a look at the pizza's because we wanted to get cash and come back. Every pizza was burnt! And it's not inexpensive at all!$10 per person for a pizza buffet is way too high. You can go to Golden Corral and Asian Royal buffet and get much more variety for the same price, a few cents cheaper actually. I was really excited to try something new but will not pay $10 for burnt pizza at a buffet. To take my family would be $50 and I would rather spend that on food other than pizza but that's just my opinion. I think with their prices they are in the wrong town...
