ok i have to say I am sick and tired of the deputy sheriffs sitting at home all day doing nothing while our tax dollars go to them doing NOTHING. I mean shouldnt they be at work? Someone might want to check their residence to see exactly where they are and answer why they aren't doing their job. I wish I could get paid to sit home all day. Can they just drive their "cop" cars around doing personal business all day? I'm really tired of the crap they pull. Does the sheriff know what some are doing when they claim they are working? We are watching and we DO notice. Just sayin...

Walk over to the deputies house and ask are you on duty. Or find out the deputies name and call the sheriffs office and ask if he is on duty. I know some time when they are off duty they go drive the cruiser to court or to get maintenance done on the car.

You obviously have no clue about them or their job. Just b/c you see their car @ home doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. They take their cars home, work either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and like everyone else, they get two days off every week! & yes they drive their cars around sometimes b/c they have court, class, or maintenance on them. You should probably mind your own business since you have no idea what your talking about.

Their title is spelled Deputy Sheriff. Since you notice so much you might see how it's spelled on the side of their car.

Yeah that's brilliant. Walk over and be a real sissy, whiny, obnoxious, candy ass neighbor. He will say NO IM NOT, WHY? DO YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY? DONT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A PHONE TO CALL 911? DO YOU NEED ME TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEMS FOR YOU? Whiny ass people who have moved in here from other states. Worry about real stuff, like your virtual farm.

I don't think it says "Deputy Sheriff" I'm pretty sure all the cars just say "Scott County Sheriff"... Gotta get back to my carrots.... Lol

I saw one of the deputies driving with a little blonde kid IN THE FRONT SEAT- now come on. First of all is that SAFE for kid? What if he runs up on a wreck or a robbery and he has his kid in the front seat - talk about putting someone in the line of fire. Second - is this seriously what our
Tax money is paying? For these fellas to cruise around in brand new sport cars? What happened to the normal cop cars? Why are WE paying for all these cars? Notice all the wrecks these cops are getting in? The one that just happened to hit a pole in a parking lot? Hmmm --- WE tax payers rewarded
Him with a brand spankin new dodge
Charger. The other deputy
That wrecked he got
One to. So after reading these
Post - guess you'd be pretty
Lucky to be the Sheriff's family or lap dog and have enough smarts
About ya to wreck your car because then you'll get a new one to take your
Kid to school or parade around time. WE are
Being robbed royally.

First of all, that blonde "kid" was probably his wife, & if it was his kid, he was probably off duty! Secondly, the deputy that hit the pole does NOT have a charger, he has an older police cruiser! & and third, do you really think they are wrecking on purpose? Do you really think the last deputy that wrecked wanted to hit the car that turned in front of him? No! So how about you shut your mouth & mind your buisness! If Tony Hampton wants to spend all of the Sheriff's Office budget on new cars then so be it! You may or may not agree, but he nor anyone else gives a shit what you think!

All of your response is correct except the last line. It is our business because it is our money. When public employees have the attitude they can do what ever they want without scrutiny that is when problems develop. Is the deputy on Third shift? That would be a good reason for them to "be home all day". Call the SO and ask, simple enough. Deputies are allowed time off work.

lol - wow I hit you the wrong way. Must be a family member or the lap
Dog defending him once again - and it was a
Child in the car and the deputy was in fact off duty or was not In uniform. It was not either of his blonde. That was my point sir before you get so hot to trot- if the off duty deputy is
In his cop car and comes
Upon a wreck or a situation where someone needs him in an emergency - isnt it his obligation to stop and help
This person In need? Yes. You should know this since you are
Obviously a man of law by your strong conviction toward
My post - THAT is putting the
Child in harms way. The officer
Isnt going to just drive on by - even if he calls it in - he morally would stop and assist. THAT is the right thing to do however it IS NOT SAFE at
Any
Given time to have a
Child in the front seat of a police car. You can argue that until
You're blue in the face
But common sense tells
You that.

I was at the pediatricians office here and town and as we were leaving a brown cop car pulls out and the cop gets his BABY THAT IS IN AN INFANT SEAT out of the car. Little baby - I
Agree with safe - aren't you cops smarter than that? It's just wrong. Look at me - I'm using your tax money. Portrays a bad image on our community. Who are we supposed to
Turn to? When the sheriff is misusing our money? who protects us? Who protects that little baby when cop daddy gets in a gun fight with a disgruntled vengeful former criminal?

One term Tony Hampton DOES NOT CARE about anything but himself. His paycheck. His next case of beer. Period. He certainly doesn't care about any of these issues. I guarantee it.

I'd vote for anyone except Tony Hampton. I hope John Goble (current Coroner) runs against Hampton. Goble can easily beat him. Goble was a State Trooper for 25 years and has been Scott County's Coroner for the past 8 years or so.
