He may have avoided prosecution but elected officials should be held to the highest ethical standards.

You are exactly right but this crook will try to stay under the radar and get elected to the council again so he can have insurance and a salary. He is a thief and someone like that should not be on the city council. VOTE FOR ANYBODY BUT BRAD PENN

Impeached for what? Anyone can accuse someone of a crime, no prosecution, no conviction. If allegations are enough David Lusby should be impeached. He is renting office space to the Electrical Inspector's office. Lusby supported increasing the share the city pays to the county for electrical inspector's budget despite the fact the inspector's work load has decreased. Lusby appears to have used his office over the years for personal enrichment and enrichment of his partners. But that's ok because he is a Democrat and named Lusby.

BS - everything Lusby has done has been out in the open. Penn stole money from his employer and should have been put in jail for felony theft. The only reason he wasn't is he worked out a deal with him employer. Go see Penn and look him in the eye and ask him. He is nothing but a loudmouth thief. There is no comparison between the two

My point exactly. Lusby uses his position to vote and use real estate to further his his agenda. At the taxpayers expense. The issue with this is many people know he does it and the ethics board refuses to investigate. There is documentation showing Lusby's dealings. Penn is accused of something but the jury of Topix will leave the blinders on just do they can be a teabagging band wagoner. Again teabaggers, selective persecution does not work. At the same time, vote out all the liars, cheaters and thieves. This will include Lusby's, Tackett, Prather, and KTS.

If you think Lusby has done something file an ethics complaint against him. What Penn did is crime, not an ethics issue and Penn is avoiding prosecution by working our a deal with his employer which will make it impossible to know all the details unless the police prosecute him anyway. I hope they do and I hope the Attorney General makes the city reveal everything in the police report

If there is a case that is prosecuted and Penn is convicted of a felony, then I will support a resignation call. Until then, there is simply speculation on the part of the chattering class.

Let's be honest, when did anyone expect the News-Graphic to get a story accurate? I have much more faith in the judicial system than Mike Scogin and his revolving door of reporters.

Like anything will ever be done from the ethics board. Don't be lazy and do a records request to see how many ethic violations have been turned in from the last administration and then find the results. Not a damn thing gets done. What Lusby has done, along with several others, is not only an ethics violation but yes it can be deemed a crime as well.
Under our constitution it states, "Innocent until proven guilty in a court!" Topix is anything but a court to convict. What is the AG office going to prosecute? Not a damn thing. KLS is a private entity. "IF" they wanted to cease proceedings then that is their choice. Not yours. Most of you people don't care for Penn, that is not my concern. However, plain and simple: "If you have no victim, you have no crime!"
If you want to think of Penn as a thief, I can think of many of you as plain @$$ ugly people. Don't like that comment? Then get someone to arrest me for it. My opinion!

This isn't the first time that GNG has attempted to use Topix as a viable source of information. Most of their reporters are a huge joke. Hell whoever proofread Jesses political ad needs glasses or another semester in spelling and English.

It is so funny that Penn is so outspoken and the first to speak up except on this subject. Oh yeah, he is busy counting the $68,000 he stole. If there is any IRS agent on here, be sure that he claims it. That is almost $20,000 in taxes and the IRS will not sweep that under the table.
What a lying POS of a man. His family deserves better. What a wonderful example to set for his kids. Daddy steals and then avoids responsibility by hiding and negotiating. There ya go kids, try that at school.

Let the IRS prove the taxable income. Can you prove the taxable income? Didn't think you could. Great example of you for your kids. You speculate someone is guilty therefore they are. Is that something you want to teach your kids? Oh that's right, this is Georgetown. Where many folks refuse to remind themselves there is a constitution.
I bet if you left something on the table that you wanted to eat, you come back into the room and it's gone. Your child is standing there and they just finished eating something. Do you blame and accuse them? You probably would, you may even punish them. Only to find out that in fact it was your spouse that ate it. Do you apologize to your child? What if you had spanked them to try to get them to say something. You could never get back the pain you caused.
Same analogy you folks are using on Penn. If he gets charged and convict in a court of law, that is one thing. But the judge and jury of Georgetown Topix, does not mean $h!t.

You are either the pussy Penn or his wife. Hope you have a strap on because he sure doesnt have any balls. Yeah teach your kid that stealing from your employer if fine if you dont get caught.
And the IRS will crawl up his azz without kissing him first. They will go to his ex employer and ask questions. Someone has to pay the taxes on that $68,000. Now STFU and bend over Penn.

the thing that bugs me is anyone with an IQ in double digits knows Penn stole from his employer, but he worked out a deal to keep from being charged. That doesn't make him innocent. I hope the Commonwealth Attorney decides to prosecute him anyway.

Yep a typical response from someone with an axe to grind. You cannot debate so you attempt to act all tough. Get a strap-on? Is that really anyway to be just like the GNG, and guess how things happen? Just proves the lynch mob mentality of this town. I guarantee you wouldn't be this vocal as other elected officials get away with crimes in this town.

There are many factors to look at in this matter. Did in fact Penn make a deal? We don't know that for sure. Did KLS decide there was an oversight? We don't know that for sure. But the fact remains, for whatever the reason, the investigation was dropped. Again, if KLS requested the investigation be stopped, the citizens of this town are not the victim of any crime. KLS was the victim of a possible crime. If they are no longer a victim there is nothing to prosecute. Research this information and stop telling others they are wrong. Like it or not that is the law. I don't have to like it any more than you do, however, there is nothing prosecutors or you can do about it right now.

Sure there is. We can vote the loser out of office. If he had any class, he would resign, but we now know what kind of a person he is. His poor wife and kids. Married to a loser, a thief and a man without balls must be tough.
She needs a real man, not a cry baby.

One question before I get my point that you forgot to add PENN to the list of liars, cheaters and thieves.... And he is ALL three
Please show me investigation report where Any of the ones named are a suspect in a criminal investigation. Hmm there is NONE. I'm sorry only one and he wasn't listed! PENN!!!
It's a disgrace and I hope he has enough respect for his family to resign or please not to run again

If Penn is so innocent, why doesn't he write a letter to the editor at the GNG. I am sure they will print it - they always printed his stuff. Lets hear his side of the missing $68,000. Why is he quiet on this? Why does he hide? Why does he let his wife fight his battle for him?

He has always had a big mouth and wasnt afraid to open it and voice his opinion. That is why I voted for him before. But now? I have no respect for an "innocent" man who does not take the stand and tell the truth.

If there is no crime, then HE needs to stand up and say that - not his wife or his FOS friends.

At least Nixon had the balls to resign. So tired of politicians who can open their mouth when someone elses hand is caught in the cookie jar but then hide like a little girl when its their hand.

Grow a pair Mr. Penn. You owe that to the citizens of Georgetown who you are suppose to represent.
