I would like someone to explain to me why Judge Tamra Gormely, family court judge of Soctt County, has not served her 45 day suspension yet. If I'm not mistaken, when a normal person is convicted of a crime they serve their sentence immediately, especially once the supreme court has affirmed the verdict and sentence. Is she truly above the law? Why does she get to evade her suspension? I don't understand.....after so many complaints, and charges. Now she has been brought up on new charges by the judicial misconduct commission again, 2 of them, which will be heard January 12th, 2010 in Fayette County. Is it not obvious that this judge needs to be punished for the injustice she has done? If it were you or I you can bet we would be.

It is January 12, 2011 (not 2010) that she will face her new charges in Fayette County. She needs to pay for the harm she has brought to so many families and children. The children are paying the highest price.

although i couldnt agree more that she should serve her time off the bench, she has always been pretty fair to me and my case. I am sincerely sorry for all of you guys who have been done wrong by her but i honestly thank The Man upsatirs for her fairness to us...good luck and God bless everyone having to deal with this lady.

well, i'm sure 50% of the people will say she is fair and 50% will say she sux (depending on who won the case)...my issue is that she never follows the law as written. she applies it as she see's fit. i really hate to see the words JUDGE and tamra gormely togather. she certainly doesnt deserve the respect that is associated with the title

You can just google her name and put Georgetown Ky afterwards and read everything. Its mind blowing what she is getting away with. She has also done my husband wrong. She left his ex-wife move out of state with thier daughter, we both had to do a "hair" follice test which was totally uncalled for, and yes came back negative, let the ex-wife stay in the martial home and he was giving her 1200 a month BEFORE he was even ordered to pay child support and the ex didn't pay one frickin payment. Now he has lost his daughter, can only see her when HE goes out of state and is working on trying to save his home and his credit. She is completely worthless and needs to be thrown out of office if you ask me. I completely agree with everything you people are saying.

If everyone would file a complaint when she does not follow the law maybe she would eventually be removed from the bench permanently. You can google KY AOC and find the website, click on Judicial Conduct Commission on the left hand side, and then scroll to the bottom of that page to find a complaint form that you can print. Or you can call or write them (address and phone number also on the bottom of the same page) and request they mail you a complaint form. People need to know their rights so they know when they are violated. People need to file a complaint when they are violated. I also believe she is unfair and partial and shows favortism. She rules based on her opinions, feelings, and thoughts instead of the law itself. She operates in a closed court room so she doens't have to be accountable. She does not know what is best for the children in most cases. She has a serious God complex. She doens't follow venue and jurisdiction laws which is what seems to get her in the most trouble. She takes hearsay and testimony without substantiating it with evidence. Not everyone tells the truth and some people are just liars and being under oath makes no difference. She is doing far more damage than good to too many families and needs to be disciplined accordingly. The children are paying the highest price and suffering the most.

I am happy for those who have won honestly, fairly, justly and according to the law. Those deserve it. I am happy when the best interest of the children truly is the deciding factor based on evidence and testimony that is true and is substantiated. I am happy when people win because it is right. But it appears many that win in her court, do not win by legal arguement and by law, but by emotions and sympathy. I am not happy for those that win illegally or by lying, cheating, backatabbing, and by hearsay and false testimony. People that break the law to win, or win because she does not rule based on legal principles, are not real winners. The real winners are those that win according to legal standards and means. Truth should prevail. For the parents that do not think of the children first and foremost and make them the priority, and drag each other through the mud for their own revenge, selfishness, bitterness and spitefulness.....the children are the ones suffering the most and paying the ultimate highest price. Adults need to grow up and act like adults and be responsible. Just because a set of parents are not together, does not mean they can't raise their child together. Even if you don't like, hate, or simply can't stand each other. Even if you don't get along. Obviously some of these factors exist and that is why parents are not together. But for the sake of the child be civil and think of the child and their needs. Hatred make miserable people. And misery loves company. I do not like Judge Gormely because I don't think she adheres to the law. I do not believe she always thinks of the best interests of the children. Separating a child from their parent all together is wrong. There are ways to promote childrens' safety without no contact orders between the child and parent. I think all parents should have some contact and visitation. I think children need that. Parental alienation should never be allowed or justified. Proper supervision in some cases will ensure the welfare of the child. I don't know any parent that has never made a mistake. All parents at some point have used poor judgement or made a bad choice or decision. No one is perfect. I wonder if Judge Gormely has children and if so I would love to know how imperfect she has been in her child rearing and parenting. The parents that are good parents but just messed up and have made amends and are willing to comply and cooperate with the courts, DCBS, and make the appropriate changes for their childrens' well being should be applauded. I do not ever condone or excuse abuse, of any type. I am not necessarily talking to or about those situations. However I do believe some people are good and simply make mistakes. However some people are not good and will never be because they don't want it. People can change if they want to. But you can not force it on anyone. You can't help those that don't help themselves.

You couldn't have said this any better. I am filing a complaint against her also. Well said!!! I am so hurt that she let my husbands ex-wife move out of state with their daughter (3 states away and before they were even legally divorced might I add). He is a good father and this has devastated him. Not to mention everything else she has done out of pure spite just to be a B*&%$, and Judge Gormely completely sided with her from day one. He never had a chance. It's just so sad for the innocent little girl involved that has been pulled from her father.
