My husband will be graduating in about a semester and heard good things about this company. He really wants to work there but I don't think he should up and move us (us being his wife and baby girl) 4 hours away if it isn't. I would really like some feedback on this please.

They are not hiring. What position is your husband going to be trying for? Team Member or a position that requires a degree? In order to work on the lines you have to go through a hiring agency, which I do not recommend.

He will have a bach in science for industerial maint. His tacher Charles Moore as gotten plenty of students hired there. He said that he would have no problem getting Bobby on but he wanted to make absolute sure that Bobby wanted to go there as it is roughly a 4 hour drive away.

Bobby will be certified in welding, machine building, blueprinting, machine computer programing, motor controls....ect....he has a rather good hands on background. In the last 2 years he has had many projects that he completed.

If that is the case, then I think Toyota would be a great opportunity for him. My husband has been there 12 years. He does not love it but again, he does not hate it. Toyota pays better then, say, GMC or Ford.
I wish the best for you and your husband. I would suggest moving here to Georgetown if he were to get hired. 8 hours of driving is insane.:)

yeah, it's a good thing we will already have the baby by then....lol! He took a tour of the toyota plant and said that he thought it was awesome. We want to move somewhere to were our child would have a nice childhood, nothing to crowded and I thought that if he actually took a job there we could find something like that close.

True that there are lots of scum girls but also scum guys. If your husband falls for one of them, he'll reap what he sows.

I worked there and got to witness lots of cheating but there are still lots of people there with integrity.

As od right now my husband and I have a great relationship. He calls me on his breaks and comes home for lunch (i assume he wont be able to come home for lunch if he works there though...lol) He calls me to tell me how his day is going so far and usually spends his whole break talking to me. He is home within 30 minutes of getting off work but I treat him better then anyone ever has....his lunch is made when come gets here...dinner ready within an hour of being home, we hardly argue.....we have a little girl that will be here in about 9 weeks and we can't wait. So far during our marriage he has been completely faithful. I guess getting a job with the toyota place will test him and our relationship. He is looking at a few other places out of the state of ky.....we both really dislike ky.

Bobbys wife. This site is full of hateful and vengeful people so take what they say with a grain of salt. It's not Toyota that promotes infidelity. It could happen anywhere. There are just a few people on the Georgetown topix that gies on and on about the stuff inserting comments into nearly every thread. Good luck.

I understand that it is the people that make to poor choices and not the company. But in saying this, the people being the issue it means there is alot of temptaion and one must have alot of self control to resist it.....or they all have to be pretty ugly.

Temptation is everywhere. It makes us human. However I guarentee no more exists at Toyota then ford or any other place of business for that matter. The person talking about the "hoes" is one if the same people that always tries to get things going. I originally read some of the posts for amusement. It's like watching a reality show or Jerry springer. I've looked at other cities topix. I've not seen another town as bad as this one on topix but turn I started noticing that several people keep posting over and over. Sometimes with the same names. Sometimes not but the way they talk or how they spell an even the content gives them away. Don't be stressed about Toyota being a din of sin so to speak. These other people saying these things are bored and/or just miserable shells of human beings. Ps. Idont work at Toyota. I just wante to help

Help is what i was looking for. The reason i started this tread was because i want my husband to be happy with what job he chooses. Once we move that will be it for a very long time. We plan on getting a newfie and once they are grown they don't like change....but they are loving dogs. Not to mention I don't want my baby to have to move around like I did as a kid.....it really screws them up sometimes.

If you don't work at toyota, then don't comment! My husband does
work there and yes there is lots and lots of temptation!!!!!

Toyota is a little whore place just like every other factory!
Working for Toyota is great! But you really have to be able to resist the temptation!

I too had a wonderful marriage but it failed unlike so many others!

As for me I don't comment on this site as often as you would like
for everyone to believe!!

I have witnessed alot of failing relationships from the people at
toyota! All I am saying is be careful!

Now thankyou for your time!!!

I'm trying to get a job at the Toyota plant in Georgetown through Kelly Services. I'm a hard worker and I've always wanted to work there. I've completed two of the tests, but they haven't scheduled me for the day of work assessment test. Nobody at Kelly Services seems to know anything. Can any of you Toyota employees tell me if they are hiring temps right now, or when I can expect to get hired on, even as a temp? I'd love to work there, and need a job, but I don't want to wait forever if they aren't hiring. Thanks!

I use to work for Toyota and I seen first hand all the infedelity that goes on there. I was single at the time and got hit on at least twice a day. I agreed to go out on a date with one of the men there and the day before I went to a resturant to eat and seen him eating with his wife and 2 children. I immediately called it off. But I hate to say that alot of men and women out there dont care. You have to consider they are with each other over 8 hours a day and it would be easy to get talked into something you know is wrong. I seen alot of good people mess up there marriages over temptation from the women out there. Also I had a friend that worked there and got injured. He was considered a liability so they found a reason to let him go. He got a lawyer and sued Toyota and recieved money for not having a legitmate reason for being fired. SO you have to ask yourself if its really worth all the trouble. Toyota pays good but it has way to many downfalls. As they say money is the root of all evil.

I have been at Toyota for a little over 9 years. The pay is great! Before working here I worked at another factory here in Georgetown. The other factory also had gossip, sleeping around, cheating, drug use, and unfair promotions! I believe that most every factory has these problems and drama. I look at it this way... I would rather work at Toyota cause I make lots more money than the smaller factory that still has the same drama. My point is..drama in ALL factories...might as well work where the money is!!
