It's great. I've been over 5 times since it opened with my family. Don't try to start drama for someones own business!

They are never open and what crappy work they do on glazing! Very disappointed. They totally ruin my work with globs of glaze! I'll be heading back to Lex.

They are open on weekends, and schedule parties any other nights of the week. The owner is a teacher in the county, so the business is a hobby because she loves the arts. From my experience, if a piece turns out not well then you are offered a free painting piece of same value. I love the place, and your comment is the first negative thing I have heard. Georgetown is lucky to have a business like this. Why can't people be supportive instead of always being negative. There is enough of that in the world without your help.

a tax shelter? I don't know. Irregular hours and even the hours posted aren't always honored. Often closed at odd times.

I was just there a month or so ago so I highly doubt it is under new people. Drive to Lex...go to Mad Potter and then enjoy some Baskin Robbins next door. Definitely worth the drive.

This shop is a new business, and will be celebrating one year. I encourage everyone to check it out. We work very hard to make the experience positive. If there are concerns about past visits please feel free to meet with me, Melinda Halsey, on the days we are open. Store is located on our Facebook.

I went to mad potter this wknd and hated it!!!! it is too expensive, too crowded with tables and more. no help was given from the staff and if they did give you help, they will charge you extra!! I will be visiting the pottery place in georgetown sometime this week and will post my opinion on it. hope it is a better experience, it couldn't be worst!!!

I LOVE Primary Pottery! Melinda, Marti and Chad are very helpful and friendly. They have an AWESOME lady's night monthly! They do have different operating hours, but remember, the owner has a FULL TIME job teaching! I am pleased to announce that they will be opening on Tuesdays now too! I have gone to Lexington and to Dry Ridge to paint pottery in the past and I have to say that Primary Pottery has better prices with friendlier service. My poor husband is a pottery widow....I love my new family at Primary Pottery!!!!

Thank you for your positive remarks. Painting pottery is addicting, so I may have to offer an intervention night for all who need to attend. Kidding-come and check us out.
