A lot of people living in Canewood paying outrageous HOA FEES! Those poor Canewood residents are getting screwed by Don Wilshire and Barlow along with Edwin Gibson. Those three people are big big CROOKS!!

I am one of those homeowners getting screwed -- it is so wrong -- we will never be able to sell our home because of the owner dues -- wish something could be done to help us --

Any ideas how we could get rid of the current HOA?
Thanks

With the HOA fees being written in your DEED makes it difficult to change. However, It can be changed with having enough people signing a petition and hiring a very good attorney to fight for the homeowners to change it. This will cost a good bit of money and a considerable amount of time but would be worth it in the long run. I used to live in Canewood so I know your frustration with the HOA, Don Wilshire, Edwin Gibson and MR Barlow. They are all a bunch of CROOKS! Luckily I was able to sell my house and get most of my money out of it. I wish you the best in selling your house as I did. I liked living in Canewood but I couldnt afford the HOA dues any longer and the growing number of Rental houses to even include Section 8 were frustrating.

Canewood is a great place to live. Dues for 2013 are 400.00 for the year. That may or may not include use of the pool. That does not include golfing. There is a legal dispute with the golf course owner. It is being actively worked on but you know the pace of our legal system. Whether we will all have to pay for golf in the future is still up in the air. We just go year by year now. But whatever the final outcome, it should be much fairer then it has been in the past. We have lived here since 2006 and even with the HOA/Golf Course owner issues; we do not regret moving here. We have wonderful neighbors and it has been a great place to raise our kids.

Canewood is getting some age and not as appealing as it once was. Cherry Blossum is a much nicer place to live if you can afford it. Canewoods HOA is a ripp off and it always will be unlesss changes are made with whos in charge of it.
