Is Christ coming back on 12-21-12

The answer is NO! Let me explain. You see, the Bible says, "No one knows that day or hour that Jesus will return, not even the angels in Heaven." Mark 13:32. So am I wrong for saying NO, He won't come back on 12-21-12? Take a look at 2 Peter 3:10, which says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night...." Then take a look at Luke 12:39, which says, "But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into."

Do you catch my drift? My point is, the mayans are predicting the end of the world to be 12-21-12 and they are deceiving many people with these insane predictions. Therefore since the mayans (and millions of other people) are expecting the end of the world to be 12-21-12, doesn't that contradict 2 Peter 3:10?

Luke 12:39 proves that Jesus will come like a "thief in the night" when the world is least expecting Him. Don't buy into the hype of cults. Read your Bibles and you'll know what to expect! And always remember, your personal "end of time" may happen well before Jesus comes back! Jesus told us to "repent or perish" Luke 13:3. After you die, it will be too late to repent!

And one other thing, many of you will write back and say "It's been 2,000 years and He hasn't come yet, therefore He ain't coming back blah blah blah." Just remember, 2 Peter 3:8 tells us that 1,000 years are like a day and a day is like 1,000 years to The Lord. Time to GOD, is not what time is to us. He's coming back folks!! The question is:

"ARE YOU READY?"

He may come back on 12-21-12 Davey, but according to the Bible, it's VERY higly unlikely. Read my post again beloved. The Bible says that JESUS will come like a "thief in the night." Do you not know that nobody looks for a thief in the night, because they're sleeping? Therefore do you honestly think Jesus is going to come back when the entire world is expecting Him on 12-21-12? That wouldn't be too "thief in the night-like" now would it?

Good one lol. And i absolutely agree. He can not sit there and guarantee that it wont end because just like he was saying, No One knows when the world is going to end. So way i see it enjoy each day to the fullest and count each day we wake up as a blessing.

I said "NO" when I should have said, "MOST LIKELY" No. But I still have faith in what the Word of God says, and it says that He will return like a thief in the night, when least expected. Mark 13:32 assures me that not even Jesus knows when He will come back, therefore I can GUARANTEE you the mayans don't have a clue!

According to the Bible, Jesus will return for his second and final time after the seven years of tribulation. Revelation 1:7 states "Every eye will see him, including those people who peirced him..." Clearly every eye will see him no matter if they reside in heaven, hell, in the ground, or alive on earth.
Thus, according to the Holy Bible, you can be fully assured that Jesus will not be returning on or before 12/21/12.

sorry jane.... you cant have it both ways!! in one scripture u say no man knows when he's coming and yet another you say you can easily time it as being after 7 yrs of tribulation!! so unless your saying tribulation will be so easy as to "no one can recognize when it starts", i'm going to have to call your assumption flawed!

Jane Doe: I disagree with you. I believe Jesus will return "BEFORE" the 7 Year Tribulation period. The day of His return could be anyday! I believe the 7 year Tribulation period will begin immediately after Christ raptures the church.

Dave: As I said, the BIBLE makes 2 key points regarding the return of Christ.

#1: No one knows the day or hour that it will happen.

#2: He will come like a thief in the night.

With that being said, I have no clue when He's coming, but common sense tells us it won't be when the entire world is expecting Him (12-21-12). A thief in the night doesn't come when the head of the household is watching for him!
