So...He was arrested more than 10 years ago and served his time. It was disgusting and wrong, and he violated parole by doing something stupid outside his apartment.
But he served his time. People who have committed crimes — robbery, assault, manslaughtar — are walking the street all the time. They live in your neighborhood, and yet you don't ostracize them, do you? |

We do in fact ostracize criminals where I live. I recieved a flyer with a detailed description of the crime, restitution plan and jail time, as well as the probation arrangment for a criminal living 3 miles away from me. His crime, embezzlement.

Oh Devil! Purge thee from thy community! Lest ye assume the form of a bat, a rabid dog, or another of Satan's messengers as to so seriously afflict the virtue of our most innocent children, cast ye out NOW I command you! Wear the mark, the scarlet "M", that announces your wickedness wherever you should go! Travel not within the zones of virtue accorded but to our most holy of citizens! Thy decent neighbors doth spray holy spittle upon your countenance, lest ye should them overtake and infuse with your corruptions! Quit this place with great haste, knowing with God's certainty that your ankle chains of GPS, suffused with Christ's virtue and thus burning through your damnable flesh, are iron links joined to the Heavens that shall track you into the pits of Hell!

If criminals who served their time are 'not welcomed here' where are they all supposed to go? Mexico?

Sex Offender Laws May Do More Harm Than Good
http://www.hrw.org/ The Adam Walsh Act The federal Adam Walsh Act, passed in 2006, will exacerbate the problems with state sex offender laws. It forces states to either dramatically increase the scope and duration of registration and community notification restrictions – including requiring states to register youths as young as 14 – or lose some federal law enforcement grant money. Compliance with the Adam Walsh Act will preclude states from adopting more carefully calibrated and cost-effective registration and community notification policies. At least some states are debating whether the costs of complying with the law outweigh the benefits. Human Rights Watch urges reform of the Adam Walsh Act. Interesting. Who makes up the fliers? How far do they go? A felony? A misdemeanor? An incident report? |

I see 4 other registered sex offenders in Ridgefield and nobody seems upset about them.

FVor those who want to see a current photo of Fisher, check out TheRidgefieldPress.com .
State Rep John Frey apparently arranged to get the photo (taken today by the state police) before it goes on the sexuaol offender register and distributed. Fisher has had a whole bunch of different 'looks' of late... Kudos to Frey for getting on the case and getting the pic out. The reason we aren't upset about the others, I suppose, is they haven't violated their probations in the last 90 days. |

Oh fer chrissakes people. Do you know how many sex offenders are in that town? Get real; the worst of them haven't even been caught yet. Go ahead; focus on this poor guy. Yes, it's ok to hate. Right? You want to do something useful, look at the abuse that IS STILL GOING ON in several of your households.
Then, later, we can all gather pitchforks and torches and harrass this guy for real. |

I gained the insight to not hire him for my family owned business when he came knocking at the door, conveniently with no mention of his past. |

Concerned neighbor of his. |

You know, one time I received flier (really just a a small letter) warning people about someone who got a speeding ticket. After all, that person could be reckless driver and a danger to everyone in the neighborhood. I agree that we should be vigilant about serious crimes, but how far should we take it? Also, I think the law is different for sex offenders, they are on a list, but I think that you could wind up with a law suit for passing out info on crimes that are not specifically covered. |

People like him never change.
He stood outside naked in 2007 that was 2 years ago people. He lives half a mile away from me now. I think its wrong to make fliers of someone though without authorities consent. |
