I believe first degree sexual assault is flat out r_ap_e. This happened in 2008? We're over half way through 2009 and they just charged him? Depending on the date of the alleged offense this could be well over a year old. Frankly, sounds like a weak case. Probably a jilted lover who concocted the complaint after being dumped. There would have been ample physical evidence to charge the guy at the time if this had been forcible r_ap_e.
