Ron Funk had bronchial problems that is why he had to leave Santa Monica and move to Nevada. How strange now he will be forced to move back to the seaside, if the Genoa taxpayers don't fork over $385,000 to buy the strip of land in front of his home so he won't be exposed to road dust?
History repeats itself. Back in the late 70's taxpayers in Santa Monica Ron Funk and his brother used their newspaper's clout to force the Santa Monica taxpayers to fork-over more than a half a million dollars to buy their family obsolete printing presses so they could move the operation a few miles away from the ocean. In their senior years, the Funks are still working the system. God help us. |
