I am so sorry to hear of your loss, families of Shane Potter and Taylor Scott, Lake Geneva Residents, Mt. Zion school, and family & friends, and their classmates. Also to the driver Connie Wright. She will live with this the rest of her life. Please, those who know her, realize what she must be going through under the circumstances and let her know she's OK with you. I don't know any of you, and I can only imagine your pain, loss & grief. It's always hardest on the living and Ican only imagine how C. Wright feels. Please all take some time to acknowledge her & her son's that survived - i'm sure she needs it.

Never heard about this, must not be that big of a deal cars crash allot. People will get over this and move on, grieving is just part of the process.

For those of you involved - I feel bad for Cal's attitude towards this. Either Cal is "bitter" for some reason, or he may not have ever gone through something like this tragic situation and has no clue the reality or both. Either way, I'm sure you know, most people do not look at this the way he is. Many of us have and feel the empathy.

& Cal - these boys were only 14 & 12 year olds. Do you realize your comment was "not logical" - do you realize how cold hearted your comment was? I would hope in the future you could use a bit more discression - if you don't have something nice to say, possibly don't say it at all.

Negligent woman driver gets two young boys killed while driving on wintery roads. Her driving record probably sucks. All I can tell people is be careful who is chaperoning your kids these days. This country is full of irresponsible but yet empathetic christian fanatics who's thirst for blood or disregard for blood spilling is really more genuine than most people think. People are never as sorry as they are thinking better him/her than I. True empathy is dead and I have been through these situations over and over again. Have a good day everyone - see I said something nice!

Not sure what world you are living in Cal, but true empathy is not gone. Altho there is alot of messed up people in the world - there are more good than bad. I'm not sure where you're bitterness comes from but let's not display it on a post where there is already much sadness - and from reading between the lines - innocent sadness. As you can see the coach also drove as with many others, to get back home. "negligent women" you are out of line here and being very cold hearted.

Again, those involved - I am so sorry for this bitterness on your post. I've said all I needed to on this post, I will not allow this to continue by responding back & forth to bitterness and one who obviously, does not have a clue. My "true" empathy does go out to all of you...

3 boys killed here in Fond du Lac last week, they were skipping school, the driver was 18 and the others were 16 and 17. I raised 5 boys and I never let them get their liscence before they were 18 and that's only because they didn't need my permission, if it were up to me they would've had to wait till they were 21 to get it...

If this seems nasty, hey I don't care, I would rather have them be mad at me and eventually get over it then to have them happy with me and dead.

It's because I didn't trust them, it's because I didn't trust the other drivers on the road, and kids are notorious for thinking that they are eternal that nothing bad could possibly happen to them.

Cal, I am very offended by your comments about this terrible tragedy. Shane and Taylor were very close friends of mine. We still feel the stinging pain of their deaths and comments like yours do not help the healing process. Connie Wright is not a bad driver. The weather was terrible and there was nothing she could do about it. I know this because I was there. I was in the vehicle in front of theirs and and my father saw the crash happen. She did the best she could the prevent the accident. In situations like these, it is not any one's fault. That is why it is called an ACCIDENT!! Cal, please think about other people's feelings before making a terribly rude and inconsiderate comment like yours.

We will never forget you, Shane and Taylor.

Thank you Thea for putting things into perspective. Your mom should take consolidation when observers of the accident come to her defense. Cal, you are the very thing you despise, when annonomously harassing these grieving people seems to give you pleasure.
