Clubs

Does anyone belong to the Elks, American Legion, Moose, VFW, you name it? Which one is the best? We would like to join something, but don't know which one and we are not in Ashtabula, so it would have to be Mentor or closer.

I know a lot has been said about the Elks, but the one closer to me is really nice, we went there for drinks once. It is much better run than the Ashtabula one, and I heard that the American Legion is a real dump, are they even around any longer?

Yep gots an american legion on West 19th in Ashtabula...The roaches get really drunk. If i would have to pick one it would be the eagles.

I saw a post on her the other day about the Eagles and Elks. I remember the Eagles well. The Elks has turned into a sports bar, the Exalter Ruler is a jerk who does let his girlfriend decorate and do whatever she wants, she walks in and sits down at the end of the bar like she owns the place. It is like some post on the other thread said, a bunch of old b##ches hang out there. Gossip, back stabbing, family fighting, it is not a good place to go any longer, no wonder the members don't want to renew the memberships! Go over to the American Legion, at least the roaches can't gossip about you!

And, you 2 or 3 are friends, right?(more like relatives) If you knew anything about anything, you wouldn't even post. The Elks has many members, why do you constantly talk about only 2? Oh..I forgot, you have a grudge. Typical. Get over it, move on, and harass someone else, because if those people knew who you were..they'd be the ones laughing.

People are entitled to their opinion, if they think the Eagles or the elks suck, that is their given right, who the hell are you to think they should not be able to express what they think. You do a good job of it, and hide behind the Guest name, but face it, we all know it is you.LOL

Does look a bit like they are picking on the two members of the Elks, they are not members, one is the Exalter Ruler of the Elks, so he has put himself out there for comments. He is the one who makes the decisions for the club, he is the one who ok'd some of the changes, and not for the better of the members, prices are going up every where, so if the club has to raise prices, it could be because they are being charged more. But, you can still get a heck of a deal on a brunch! On a whole, I think the place is still your best bet out of all the clubs around! So what if it has tacky fake flowers and a bunch of tv sets, who doesn't like to watch the Indians and Browns anyway. I do have to say it should get more women members, and it is true, they have lost a lot of members lately, that is because the economy sucks! People don't have over $80.00 to spend to sit and watch tv and do nothing!

I would like to know the grudge you are talking about, and do you know that harassment is a crime, I do think there have been people arrested for such crimes. I suggest if you have something to say, come right out and say it, don't be Coy about it, that is what this forum is, you can come out and say what you want, don't have the post removed, and don't call your boyfriend crying about it, say it, and move on, as you say.
