We need to make our Northern border more secure.

you're telling me all these extra border people we hire, and they cant run a license to see if its suspended in new york? homeland security my ass, they should check a m.f.'s driving status before they let him drive here. he should be brought up on vehicular homicide charges for the death of the big rig driver and left to rot in a n.y.s. prison not sent back to canada.

If he failed to appear in court for speeding tickets they should have arrested him at the border.

He did pay the tickets, what he didn't pay for was the extra fees that NYS so loves to collect off of every fine/tickets.I agree that he shouldn't be allowed to drive in this country, but, the border agents can't check everyone DL's when the enter the country, they don't have the means to and even if they had the means the borders would be backed up for weeks, not just hours. If anyone is caught driving with a suppened D/L they should be locked up no matter where they are from.I don't know if he was arrested at he crash,if he wasn't,he should have been.

If the dept of labor can investigated an amusment park death and inspect the rides, then those border guards can make sure the drivers have licenses.

He has a Canadaian license. The border agents can,and do ask to see a D/L,they can't run it thru DMV.One thing you are forgetting is his D/L was good in Canada, just not in NYS for not paying the NYS surcharges.

It's not a privilege, it's a right.
