Our daughter just graduated from SUNY Geneseo, which is a great school. This is a very sad story, which shows that alcohol abuse can and does occur anywhere.

It runs through evey part of the country. The only real way IMO to teach children the dangers is to not drink. You do not have to bad mouth people who do. When kids see adults make asses of themselves while watching their parents go through life happily without adding alcohol. The chances are they will grow up and be responsible adults.
It worked for me and I am a former drinking fool. I was able to quit before my kids were old enough to notice. I have had very little trouble with either one. None that were alcohol or drug related.
